Central Apartment Newcastle

Owner didn't know where water heater was spent first day in apartment waiting on plumer 3 days later i found water heater in broom cupboard by then I had decided to go home was not offered and refund even the apartment was advertised before I got home and I had already paid for it 🙃

Great location

There was a significant leak in the bathroom, down through the light fittings. The landlord offered to relocate us at 11pm but it would have ruined our weekend away. The landlord told us to use towels provided to dry up the floor and they would be replaced the following day. The towels were not replaced. The landlord said they would send out a plumber the next day - the plumber apparently called the next day but didn't enter the apartment - nobody checked electrical safety even though the light fitting was exposed. We sent the landlord photos and videos showing issues. The landlord would not deal directly with us about a refund but referred us to Booking.com. We have not got a refund from Booking.com yet.

Beautiful apartment great access to shops bars and eating places. Very clean and cosy. Bed was really comfortable.

Unfortunately there were only blinds in the bedroom which meant a lot of light got in from street lights at night and also the bed was right under the window I had trouble sleeping because the room was too bright. There were no shelves on the door of the fridge which meant we had to lay our milk flat and it leaked out onto the shelf. Also went to make dinner one of the nights and there was only 1 saucepan so we weren’t able to make our meal which was disappointing for a self catering apartment, sorry we did find another pot but it was a milk pan and to small to cook in for 2 adults.

It was ok in the middle of the town

It wasn't spotless, there was a tissue n piece of plastic at back of bed, the cover for the wires for the light in centre of ceiling had come down n.the wires were exposed, there was a stain on the double bedroom floor, . A towel rail would be great in the shower room. Also a hook on the back of door to hang up pyjamas etc..overall it wasn't too bad, just a couple of wee bits..

Well equipped Clean. Close proximity to the venue of the event we were attending.

Only 2 bath towels for 4 adults and no hand towels. Stairs/corridors to apartment very dirty. Very noisy area, bar close by played music until after 2am Saturday morning, and, "little boy racers" in souped up cars were revving, back firing and racing until after 3am on Sunday morning.

There was a smell in the single bedroom Damp in bathroom and leak in bathroom ceiling No hooks or anywhere to hang used towels Broken blinds so had to pull them down and up yourself as cord broken Stains on the sofas and arm chair The weekend was hard to get to sleep as location next to a busy pub and between 12-3pm was loud … cars racing up and down Youths outside drunk and loud etc. Which is to be expected at weekends

Property was clean

Smoke alarms going off when making breakfast Fire alarms going off at three o’clock in the morning having to call out the fire department shower not staying up on the wall joy riders all weekend
