St Hilary Central Apartments

The apartment was in a central location. The bed was really comfortable with clean soft bedding and towels. However, it was a metal frame and noisy. The apartment itself was clean and tidy but does look run down and in need of redecoration. Hooks on the back of the bathroom door would be useful for towels.

Unfortunately we found the apartment noisy. We were there on a Friday night and heard music playing all night but it was difficult to say where it was coming from. Also, noise from either fridges or air conditioning units in the shops below was continuous. As the windows are single glazed there was lots of street noise too.

Stayed here last year it was nice so we decided to book for this year too. We booked early June for November we were kept in touch all the way through even the day before when we got given the access code but come the day we were meant to go we had a phone call to say they had double booked which caused a lot of stress due to the last minute notice. Thankfully we found somewhere else close by and with more room so we could still go away. We had trouble getting our money back straight away and had to sort accommodation ourselves after being told it would be done for us. Due to this we won’t stay again. Please make sure no double bookings happen again.

couldn't work out how to work the shower so it stayed warm ended up in and out because it went super hot then freezing then repeated like this

cozy flat, great location. fully stocked with everything you would need for a family. large shower, comfortable place to rest after a long day mooching. owners helpful, responsive and happy to accommodate. Will be back

Good location for shops and promenade

Entrance hall shabby and unwelcoming. There was noise from an air conditioning unit or refrigeration unit that switched on and off continually . Disturbing sleep

Generally comfortable and good proximity to shops, restaurants,and beach. On the High street and yet quiet - only stayed on a Sep Sunday. Good value, and good communication from host. Decor is ‘comfortable student flat meets clean hostel’ look - good for the price & location. Bedroom nicest looking (except for bed noise).

OMG, the bed springs - couldn’t move without making a noise (not funny when trying to sleep), it was quieter outside. Hopefully owner will fix. Some hooks in bathroom for towels would be great. Fine otherwise.
