Love Punakaiki Luxury Couples Retreat Limited

Mooi appartement, leuk en ruim met alle faciliteiten. Veel licht zowel in eethoek als in de extra zitplaats boven. Comfortabele badkamer. Alles aanwezig. Prachtige locatie zowel om te verblijven als te wandelen, en bezoeken te brengen. Rustig en stil gelegen.

De slaapkamer kon erg heet zijn daar er enkel airco was in de leefruimte en niet in de slaapkamer en extra zithoek die op een hoger verdiep gelegen was. Toch wat spinnenwebben en hoger gelegen delen van de veranda die beter gepoetst konden zijn.

Prefect place to stay if you’re visiting Punakaiki- very clean and comfortable located right in the beautiful forest. Walking distance to the beach and Truman Track, and just a short drive from the pancake rocks!

It would have been a 10 other than the noise from the people in the other flats in the house. Had to complain about the TV noise to get it turned down

Beautiful property really nice and easy to check in and had a wonderfully decorated place. We really enjoyed our time and how nice and tidy everything was.

Could hear a little noise from the people next door.

Lage

Küchenausstattung so begrenzt, dass man gezwungen ist nach jeder Mahlzeit die Spülmaschine anzustellen. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig z.B. viele Spinnweben, die Spülmaschine und komplette Küche müssten mal gereinigt werden

Wonderful treat to be enjoyed by a couple or close friends, who want a pause from the dining at restaurants on your road trip and simply want to cook at home, watch Netflix, in a great luxury apartment with a stunning view of the forest.

I assume the hot tub pool was not possible to do because it is still cold?

Secluded location a short walk from the beach. You felt isolated even though there were multiple other properties close by. It has all the facilities you need and plenty of space to lounge around. In general the place was clean and tidy with a few minor exceptions

On the downside we found there attention to detail fell short. The access code to the apartment had been changed some time in the 8 weeks between making the booking and our arrival. Consequently we could not get in and had to drive back to the local town to get sufficient cell coverage to ring the manager to get the new code. This may have been an issue with the 3rd party booking agent not the manager. The shampoo dispenser was empty, there was only 1 normal tea bag (lucky we had our own). The outside deck was covered in fallen leaves and other debris and had not been swept for sometime. The place could do with a good dust as there were spider webs in the lounge and kitchen above the cupboard. The place is down a gravel road with several other accomodation places we had difficulty finding it and distinguishing it from the others. We ended up asking several locals before we found it The place just lacked the polish we where expecting for the price

It’s quite extraordinary! On three levels, it really is a tree house. Beautifully designed and built and tastefully / expensively equipped and decorated. Outstanding!

Hot water didn’t work in the upstairs sink but the adjacent shower worked perfectly.
