Getting into the property was difficult. I must have missed an email or did not get an email with the pin for the lockbox. No reception at the property! And property owner did not answer the mobile. Which we called several times. Luckily one of the other guests was also having trouble they found someone to help otherwise we would have not been able to get in.

The apartment is nested inside a forest with an outdoor bathtub. A box of chocolate welcomed us. Disney+ is also available .

The apartment has paper thin walls, hence could hear sounds from apartments on both sides and below. Could hear washing machine running too. We were expecting a secluded retreat so the proximity of other apartments came as a surprise. Also all the apartments were occupied during our stay and the parking space was a bit tight for 4 cars.

The apartment was luxurious and spacious. The double storey felt secluded and exclusive. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved the welcome gifts. And really enjoyed this delightful getaway. This was our first trip to NZ. We'll definitely book for a longer stay next time.

Call or text ahead of time to get the access code. Once in the area, the mobile reception is poor or there is none. Cigarette smoke from the occupants sitting on the balcony below wafted upstairs throigh the open windows of the apartment. So, we closed the windows instead of enjoying fresh air.

A very characterful retreat up in the trees - we enjoyed the apartment especially the top floor sitting room . The kitchen was very well equipped and the personal decorative touches in the apartment were a pleasure as were the chocolates-yum ! A relaxing place to stay.

Aircon a bit noisy!

Amazing apartment nestled in the forest near Punakaiki. Bed and kitchen facilities were excellent. Handy to have free laundry available. Magical glass conservatory room on top floor giving lovely views of the forest, ocean in the distance, and stars at night.

Only suggestion for improvement would be to clean the windows. I understand that being in the forest you get a lot of leaf litter on the windows, but the excessive litter and mold did detract from the experience a little. Also, the interior had cobwebs and small spiders in the higher less accessible spaces.

Directions were unclear. Property was more than 200 metres from Highway 6 not 100 metres.

Lovely apartment and so spacious. Tastefully decorated and nice crockery etc.. The area was lovely and easy to access the Truman Beach walk.

All good.

Outstanding location in the trees minutes from everything in Punikaiki. Spacious home with super comfortable beds. Very good information about the area- restaurants, hikes etc.

No air conditioning on the 2nd floor (bedroom), at a minimum a ceiling fan would be helpful. Third floor sun room absolutely charming but really not useable in the afternoons as the sun would heat the room up like a sauna, but the rest of the day it was wonderful!
