The location is absolutely fantastic. Port Erin looks great and this place is basically right on the beach. Easy to get to, easy to park outside and easy to check in. The Wifi was excellent, and for the price I got basically what I expected.

The electric situation is a weird one - everything in the apartment is powered by electricity, and there's a meter that you have to top up during your stay. They do give you some credit, but I don't remember seeing it mentioned in the listing, so it came as a bit of a shock. The rooms were quite cold, so you had to have the heating on the whole time, and that obviously burned through the electricity credit. If you were using the self-catering facilities too, I could see the electricity running out fast. The rooms were also a little bit dated furniture-wise, which isn't a huge deal, but the beds could've been comfier. That's more personal preference though, so not the fault of the property.

The location of the apartment was excellent, within easy reach of amenities and parking outside the property.

The apartment (No. 2) was filthy dirty and cold (see attached photos). The fact that the owners feel that it is acceptable to allow paying guests to stay in such filthy conditions is outrageous. Kitchen appliances were dirty including food debris in the microwave. The shower was a disgrace and there was remnants of a previous guests soap in the shower tray. Although mentioned in the 'fine print' you have to pay for your electricity which in this day and age is an unnecessary hassle having to worry about the meter running out or have coins to top up if necessary. There was a very small electric heater in the main bedroom which had to be left on all day just to keep the chill out. How this apartment received a 3 Star rating is a complete mystery. I did reach out to the owners regarding how filty dirty the apartment was before writing this review, but I have had no reply.

Location was very good.

It was damp and cold. Given an allowance of 5 pounds a day for heating but felt you would need more to be comfortable there.

Quick easy check in , plenty of room, very clean. Plenty of utensils for cooking, even a washing machine. A home from home.

Cold until heaters have been running for a good hour. need another heater in the main bedroom due to the size, was cold outside and December. No other issues

Please check trip advisor reviews as there's no way they are accurate on here. The place was cold and cost a lot to get warm, we had to put money in a meter to stay warm and the heating was slow, not adequate for the large rooms. My son found bedbugs in his bed and we were told this has been a problem previously. We were moved to another apartment which was freezing and damp. My son was also diagnosed with scabies on return and we have all had to be treated. It's been very stressful. We left the place spotless and we were very polite I must add because bad reviews on here seem to get a bad response from the landlord which isn't fair, it's lies. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but have to be honest and warn people.

Fantastic location. Beautiful views from our bedroom window. The apartment is well set out, with a lot of space & convenient. The furniture is quaint, and provided everything we wanted and more. Local facilities are near enough to walk to: beach, promenade, places to eat, and shops - practical shops such as food shops and gift/souvenir shops, post office. There is plenty of opportunity for culture. Personally I recommend putting on walking boots, there is so much to see as well as the exercise. I've rented another holiday let from the same people, & I was very happy then too. I'd definitely go to these people again

The room seemed suited to long term living. It didn't feel like a holiday rent. If you go in the Winter as we did, take plenty of pound coins. There's a meter. The owner does top it up before you arrive but the apartment felt very cold to us 'southerners'. The effective little heaters in every rooms were rather heavy on the meter. Unsurprisingly, the kettle, cooker & shower were all heavy meter-wise too. If we wanted to move to the Isle of Man, this accommodation would suit us. As a holiday let, we'd be happy to use it again
