City Center Studio Apartments By AVO Apartments Sheffield

The location was okay, not too far outside of the city centre.

Unfortunately Apartment 15 of Priestley House I had the chance to stay in wasn't really up to the supposed promise as per the Booking.com site. There were numerous issues which were highlighted to the "team" who are in charge of this apartment. The issues I found within within 5 minutes of check in were as follows. Faulty shower door, which was missing runners from the top of the door which meant the shower doors didn't close properly and if you weren't careful the water would find it's way onto the floor outside of the shower cubicle. Also one of the mounting screws on the handle of the same door was also missing. Missing screw from the blanking plate by the side of the toilet which allowed you to move the blanking plate exposing the wires inside. This is a potential safety hazard particularly as there is water in close proximity. Throughout my stay the cooling fan intermittently made a loud noise as the bearings of the fan were obviously worn, and during the night I was continually woken up due to the noise. Another missing screw from the mains socket closest to the window, which again exposed live wires if the socket was moved by plugging or unplugging anything. Another health and safety issue. One of the doors of the wardrobe didn't close properly although a minor issue, one would assume this issue would have been highlighted before and the problem resolved as it's a relatively easy fix. After reporting these issues I wasn't offered different accommodation I was given a paltry apology and a "thanks" for bringing it to our attention. I also had to confirm due to the number of problems I wasn't going to be charged the damage deposit as it's possible they may have suggested the issues were caused by myself.

Lovely little apartment with good facilities and a very comfy bed. Perfect for a night or long weekend stay. Good location fairly close to the train station. Great communication with the hosts.

Amazing. Less than 10 minutes walk to football stadium. Bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Beautiful apartment. Everything we needed and more.

Facilities, location and decently spacious for a studio apartment

Lot of noise from the top floor all through the night, couldn’t sleep for hours due to the noise. I did raise the concern with the management but and not much helped. Eventually I got £15 refund as a compensation.
