Eland Valley Resort

The resort is beautiful, the cabins are cozy and comfortable, with exceptional views. It's a great place to rest and recover after an overnight hike, or just escape from the everyday grind. It's definitely worth the trip. We'll definitely be back!

It was a hassle to get someone at reception, 5 min after we eventually booked in the power went out now the power i dont have a problem with if it goes out, but there where no assistance provided by form of candle light torches or nothing when we went to discuss the power outage with the "receptionist" all he had to say was that the power is out everywhere and there is nothing that can be done except for wait for it to come back. To create a picture the place is located 20km outside of town so by nightfall it was pitch black no signal nothing. It can be a lovely place if just a little more effort is put into it

Clean, quiet, well managed, beautiful location, even wifi worked, on the 2nd day I saw the Elands :-)

The bungalow was very clean and comfortable especially for the price!

The shower head in unit 14 needs to be changed 😊. And some wine glasses would be nice too.

The location is close to popular attractions, and the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels provided.

😒No cellphone network & slow WiFi – There is no mobile network coverage at the property. Although a WiFi code is provided, the internet speed is very slow and unreliable. 😒Poor service & unavailable reception – The reception area is not always staffed. With no cellphone network available, it is impossible to call or send a WhatsApp message in case of an emergency, which is very concerning. 😒No backup during power outages – There is no power backup system and no rechargeable lights provided during outages, leaving guests without lighting or support. 😒Overgrown vegetation – The vegetation has not been maintained, even around water sources and seating areas where guests are meant to relax. The overgrowth makes the area look neglected. 😒Unmaintained hiking trails – The hiking trails are not maintained and are no longer clearly marked, making them difficult or unsafe to use. Restroom supplies insufficient – Only one paper towel/tissue was available in the restroom, which is inadequate for guests.
