Only the weather
GBLiked everything! Beautiful location, quirky garden, very secluded with a beautiful view. Hot tub was fantastic, Only met the host on arrival, but she was lovely. Daisy May the Golf Buggy was great fun.
Only downside for us was the local pub menu is very sea food heavy - not really our thing. But only a 15 minute walk to Starcross for more traditional pub grub.

GBHost, view, garden, nature was incredible, peaceful. Lived with deer, squirrel, rabbits, pheasants, all so close we could just sit and watch. Lovely treats and fresh milk on arrival. Daisy May personal golf buggy. Everything you need to cook any meal you wish very well equipped. Large supermarket 5 mins drive. Pub down the hill by the water. Woodland walk to Dawlish warren, walk to Starcross boat to Exmouth. Hot tub sunrise/sunset.
Absolutely Nothing - just for info - if you canât walk hills youâll need to drive everywhere.

GBLocation is superb, facilities including hot tub, sun loungers, chairs and tables on decking & Daisy May as transport & the visit by deer early morning was a bonus.
Nothing could have been better
GBFrom the moment we arrived and saw the Daisy May. A. golf buggy and went to the accommodation we both took one look at the view and loved it and we where not wrong place lovely hist lovely Ethal lovely hosts dog , it was the tranquil we did not leave we just relaxed

GBAnother lovely stay at Violet May's Retreat. The view from the deck is amazing. We enjoy watching all the boats come and go as they go about their day, whilst the tide rises and falls. It's a very relaxing place. Very quiet. Plenty of wildlife, rabbits in the day, bats at dusk. No deer on this visit, but we saw them last year. The Anchor pub is excellent for seafood. A short drive to a variety of tourist spots. Host is a lovely lady, couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Nice to have treats like scones with jam and cream, cakes, fresh milk.
Only downside is the size of the bed, but a bigger one couldn't fit in, so nothing can be done to change that.
