Carey Centre on UBC campus

I hope this hotel could learn something from the advanced business management knowledge and experience developed at the UBC Business School; otherwise, running a hotel like this in such a good location seems like a huge waste, and the room rates are far too high for what guests receive.

The staff in the kitchen were very friendly. Breakfast was acceptable.

The facility is tired and overdue for renovations. You can really feel its age—you can see it and even smell it.

Location was good.

The pictures presented on this website showed a nice condo w a kitchen and a living room. Instead it was a terrible little dorm room. The bathroom was full of rust. The hallways were dirty and smelled of pot. The breakfast was beyond gross and also cold. Do not book this place unless you want a concrete wall w paint missing, a terrible dorm room w brutal bedding and a bad bed. No screens on the windows. And dirty floor. The plug ins were even damaged. This place looks absolutely nothing like the photos booking.com presents. Way over priced for what you get.

The TV did not work, not enough outlets in the place and the parking is very pricey. There is no breakfast included as booking.com advertises.

Convenient to UBC, staff is very friendly and helpful

Very basic and too expensive for getting a student room which is not even refurbished after the student have left. UBC accommodation would be better value
