Marina Vilamoura - Aquamar 401- Modern Apartment

Great location, spacious apartment, reception desk staff were efficient and friendly (it was easy to collect keys and access the flat). The balcony was a welcome feature, allowing us to enjoy meals and drinks in an outside area. We hired a car and there were plenty of parking spaces outside the apartment block.

The cleaning was not good - floors were not spotless and I had to mop it again on arrival, and the shower enclosures in the bathrooms could have been better cleaned too.

Reception was manned 24/7. Reception staff were polite and very helpful and they arranged for a late checkout with no extra costs

Really lovely clean apartment, very central to the marina. Bed’s really comfortable The second bedroom is very small with no storage but combated this by using hangers and the hooks on the wall, there is plenty of room in the chest of drawers in the living room or in the main wardrobe should I have needed it. Perfect for a couple of friends on a girls holiday, lovely to each have our own bedroom and bathroom, had we come with our husbands it might have been a bit squished as a couple in the small bedroom but perfect for just one! Would definitely recommend it and would book again!

Our main issue and concern was that the reception was supposed to be open 24/7, we had an email asking what time we were expecting to arrive which I replied to. The taxi dropped us off in the dark, the reception wasn’t lit, doors locked and we weren’t even sure we’d come to the right place having not been before! Rang the bell - no response! Went on line in search of a contact number, took two calls to finally get someone to come and let us in! We weren’t shown to our apartment, just given the keys and directed to the lift! It was all a bit disconcerting especially as we had informed them what time we expected to arrive and there was absolutely no one around to help!! Only other minor thing was the balcony although lovely didn’t get any sun at all so being February we didn’t use it!

Staying at Aquamar and in particular in this apartment 401 is just a great experience. The staff is always friendly 24h every day, location is ideal just few steps from the Marina and from the beach.

Location was perfect. We have stayed in this apartment block before but first time in this apartment. It’s in the best area, literally 5 mins from the marina and 10 from the beach. Accommodation has everything you could possibly want for a relaxed holiday.

Team in reception were very welcoming. They were able to accommodate early check in and late check out for us without any additional cost which was really appreciated. Apartment was clean and the little shop next door was very convenient. 5 min walk to the beach. Bikes available to rent reception.

Providing Towels in the apartment for the pool would be good (they might have them in reception but we didn’t ask)
