We stayed here mainly for the Northern Lights and were happy to be able to see them as the location is quite dark and has a clear view to the North right from the bedroom window.

Good for short nit trip

The location was really good considering that we rented a car and wanted to be off the main city. We could easily drive around to the waterfalls and Ranua zoo. The room was spacious and comfortable and we also enjoyed the sauna! The host is friendly and gave us good tips on what to visit in the area. It was also a great spot to catch the Northern Lights without having to travel anywhere else, but that was also a good dose of luck :)

Authentic place. An old repurposed wooden school. In the countryside with very friendly owners.

I liked everything but the walls of the rooms are rather thin.

The property is a bit outside the city, but we were aware of this in advance, and honestly, it’s very easy to reach by car. Being a little farther away actually turned out to be a perfect location for watching the Northern Lights, which appeared right outside our windows—no need to chase them, we could enjoy them comfortably from our room. The property also features a sauna, which we were fortunate enough to have all to ourselves. The room was cozy and always warm, and we had access to a kitchen where we were able to cook some of our own meals. Eija and her husband were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

Eija and her husband are really good people .. they take care of everything .. place is amazing with comfortable rooms, washrooms and night bornfire.. place is bit far but worth travelling ….I would definitely come to the same place again ..
