Latitude Chinatown Central Apartment

The interior decor really feels like somebody put thought into doing it and making it cosy, artsy, quirky and beautiful.

The shower fan doesn't work so the whole room stays damp. There's no mould and no bad smell but I would've appreciated it if the room dried sooner. Someone also left the pillows for the little bench on the balcony out in the rain before our arrival, and it seemed like that wasn't supposed to happen.

Clean great location and comfy.

The actual apartment was good. It was spacious and tastefully decorated, with some nice touches. The central location was a bonus and it was surprisingly quiet

Getting into the apartment building wasn't very pleasant. The host suggested we tailgate someone in through the main door! The main door to the building was broken, though, so we could walk right in. Maybe a key safe for the main door would be nice for when the main door isn't broken? It would have been nice to have more than two coffee pods, and to have instructions for the shower

This apartment is much cleaner and more modern than most I've used in Birmingham. It has a lovely bathroom and kitchen and the bedroom and living area are good too. It faces the central courtyard of the building so it's quieter than those which face the street. The host operates remotely, but was always quick to respond and very helpful. Please note the security deposit, which is paid directly to the host. I checked, and this is the correct process; it was returned swiftly with no issues.

The location was great but really needs a car parking facility.

There was no instructions on the the use of the oven or heating so cooking was difficult and the flat was very cold. The curtains were of a very thin mesh so if you had a light on every one could see in and in the morning the light shone in. The buildings front door was broken which we were thankful for because the instructions to get in the building was "follow a random person in." Key code or lock blocks needs to be at the building entrance. The residents of the flat block were really loud with doors banging all night and we were even disturbed by a person who wanted to collect drugs at 3.30am in the morning. The property owner asked for a deposit to cover damages the day before our arrival which really should be highlighted more and should frankly be reflected in the cost.

Clean apartment and very close to where we wanted to be.

The communal parts are a little run down but this has nothing to do with our personal area.

This is the second time we have used this apartment to stay overnight in Birmingham. It is very central to everything you would need for an evening out. The apartment is very well decorated with lots of little touches to make your stay that bit nicer. The balcony is another lovely feature.
