Downtown Apartments in Bar Harbor

Apartment itself was adorable, very clean, comfortable bed, nicely decorated. Very close to downtown area, short walk to restaurants, shops and harbor. Very convenient to walk through parking lot for complimentary breakfast at Everyday Joe’s Restaurant. Water pressure in the shower was awesome, especially after hiking, shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached in shower, good quality too! Nice touch leaving tea, mini honey, syrup, jam and can of blueberries. Had an issue with a clogged toilet and owner immediately fixed it.

Outside could use some sprucing up. Did not realize apartment was right over the pizza place and laundromat, although there was no noise that disturbed us, just couldn’t quite figure out where apartment was located when we first pulled up. Walk around back, up the stairs and down the hallway.

This is the best place you could possibly stay. They anticipated everything you could need from Roku to Cling Wrap for leftovers. They are amazing. Step out yhe door and you are immediately in downtown Bar Harbor. We walked every street and alley. The recommendations provided were excellent. This is a hidden gem. These people know how you want to spend your vacation and do everything to make it happen. Thank you so much for your superb attention to detail.

For some reason the hot water was hit or miss but I guess everyone in the apartment building is using it.

The WiFi is not stable. The room is a little bit too warm.

Location was great - an easy walk to everything. The included breakfast was an excellent bonus and made mornings much more manageable. The staff at EDJ was personable and accommodating. We loved the full kitchen! Communication with the host was excellent. We appreciated their thoroughness and the ease of automated contactless check out. Very clean.

Fortunately, it wasn’t so hot during our visit but the air conditioning didn’t really reach the living room and when it was cold in the living room it meant the bedroom would be freezing. This, of course, is only a problem if you have a third person sleeping in the living room. That being said, this is absolutely not a reason to avoid this apartment. It was easily managed.

Location is right in downtown Bar Harbor. You can walk out your door and walk right to all the action.

Great location, easy communications with owners, free breakfast was nice, super clean and very comfortable bedding and linens were plentiful and smelled good. Our lazy 15 year old didn’t bother pulling the couch out, but comfort could be in an empty bathtub for this kid, so not sure about the couch comfort! Kitchen well equipped. Having the laundry mat downstairs was a plus as well.

If you’re ok with the upsides, then the downsides won’t be enough to outweigh them. The unit looks to be an old commercial spot turned into a rental for an ABNB. Commercial LED fluorescent type lights, doors that open into a hallway that share other units, Stand up premolded shower. If you’re like us and travel with noise machines then the outside noise from the laundry mat and pizza shop won’t be too much of an issue. Certainly not whining about this place, it worked great in a pinch and was close enough to Acadia National park and the town to be able to tear the phone from our teenaged son without putting an eye out, long enough to have a really great stay!!! We are from Flo-rida so our safety was never an issue, we ain’t scared of anything.
