The Pump-House

Excellent. Large choice of food in fridge for breakfasts during our stay. Plenty of convenient plug sockets. Good EV charging. Very clean. Bed very comfortable. Would stay again.

It was perfect.

More than everything you need for stay is in the place including breakfast supply and other amenities. The host was very nice and helpful with prompt responses. Beautiful quiet spot, short driving to nature reserves which we wanted to visit. Doors/windows facing the garden which kept it all private and relaxing.

Slightly too large table (a lovely bunch of daffodils welcomed us and it was great to spread our breakfast and tea etc though) for the place that made us squeeze pass each other to get to bathroom.

Nice and secluded and quiet. Ideal for a couple. Bed very comfortable. Hosts provided generous breakfast and snack supplies and useful information about places to visit in the local area.

We were greeted with a little Christmas tree and a bottle of wine. It is very rural and quiet. Had the weather been better we would have had plenty of places to walk. We were only using it as a base for somewhere to sleep while visiting family. However, I would recommend it for people wanting to get away from it all. I had initial worries about poor communication from the owner, but in the immediate days before the stay, communication was excellent.

The message i received straight after booking asking me to follow a link to make a payment. It felt like a scam. The owner just needed to answer my reply immediately telling me it's not a scam. I received no communication from the owner even though i phoned him and left messages, until I said I wanted to cancel. Then communication was excellent. I think other people should be aware of this because even booking.com tell us to be aware of scammers. A non stick frying pan would make cooking breakfast better. A slightly smaller table would give more room.

The property was nice and cozy, exceptionally clean.
