Dzīvoklis kopumā atbilda pamatvajadzībām, taču ir jūtams, ka tas ir morāli nolietojies un prasītos neliels kosmētiskais remonts. Mēbeles lielajā istabā ir redzami nolietotas, un arī virtuves piederumi (pannas, katli) ir savu laiku nokalpojuši un varētu tikt atjaunoti. rozetes guļamistabā nedarbojās. Ziemas periodā bija grūtības ar drēbju žāvēšanu, jo dzīvoklī nav ērti paredzētas vietas šim nolūkam.
