It pains me to say this, because Dullstroom inn is always my go to place when i visit Dullstroom ( stayed there about 5 times already) This time, from getting my keys to leaving was a very bad experience. Rude and incompetant staff, bar was closed at 20;15 already, and the staff were just sitting around on their cell phones, not even acknowledging me or trying to help. at 06;00 in the morning was woken up to staff shouting / talking loudly to each other from one end of the passage to the other end of the passage..slamming the door every 5 minutes, this was very annoying!! The lounge leading to the breakfast room was chaotic, full of linen and curtains all over the place, very messy indeed. I dont know if there is new management, but the place seems to be going downhill.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable, neat and clean.

There was no warm water due to a power outage. Yet on the bathroom wall was a poster stating that they have gas geysers in case of power outages but no one there seemed to know how it worked and we had to shower in freezing water!!!! It is not very nice in a place such as Dullstroom in the winter. Breakfast was limited and coffee cold, due to power problem.

Was a bed for the night, clean bedding. Nice newly refurbished dining area. Omelette was good

Corridor carpets threadbare. Extension leads running under carpets in the bedroom. No showers in the bathroom, no hot water at basin. Only 1 roll of toilet paper. Bedside light not able to be plugged in. Route to dining area for breakfast a little narrow corridor. Could have had a bigger choice of cereals and fruit juices.

The food is always good.

There are extension cords all over the floor because they are trying to connect 4 electric blankets, 2 bedside lamps and a kettle from ONE plug point that is concealed behind the head of the bed.

Nothing.

Everything. There was no electricity in the room - just a roof light. They are busy with renovations, and it was unbelievable noisy. I had to eat on the veranda in the cold because they had a special function in the bar/dining room. I understand that this can happen but then they should inform you before you make a reservation and payment. The website pictures of the bar are misleading because the place/hotel is a dumb. Stay away as far as possible.

It was too costly to stay with this rate R 1500.00 nothing is good in the room . Bathroom was not cleaned.
