Effie's Suites Old town

There had been confusion about the number of people staying so we were missing sheets and towels but this was sorted quickly and they were brought to us. The apartment was cute and had everything needed even though it was tiny. Loved the location! Also we were able to leave bags at a nearby restaurant after check out which was very convenient

Q a little overpriced for such a tiny place but location made up for it and problems sorted quickly.

The location.

First of all, the apartment does not look like in the pictures, and it is not clean. When we arrived, we met the cleaning lady, so she must have done some cleaning, but the floor was full of the previous guests hair, the mirrors were dirty, and overall, the apartment did not make a clean impression. The instructions to turn the hot water off on the electric board before showering to avoid getting an electric shock was more than alarming. The shower did not even function properly, it leaked, and the water drained the bathroom and the living room. It even smelled really bad. On our last night here we found a cockroach that was the size of a thumb running across the apartment. My husband had to kill it. I understand, that there may be cockroaches as this is the old town, but we did not find any signs of the owner to do something against them, like a trap or some bug spray. Maybe even thorough cleaning would improve the situation?

Lovely apartment in a brilliant, central Location. The owner and her brother were extremely kind and their hospitality cannot be faulted. After resolving a situation we had in the apartment they very kindly offered a complimentary meal and a bottle of wine. We asked them to book a taxi for our early morning flight and upon discovering the cost was €70 they very kindly took us to the airport themselves in the early hours, without accepting a penny. Wonderful, kind owners.

The location was great and communication was good after finding the correct phone number

The bathroom really let this property down, Owner had to send a plumber to unblock drain. Suggestion is cleaning it weekly then no need for plumber. No where for toiletries and no toilet roll holder. Owner was quick to fix the drain which was good

Everything, great location, beautiful room, clean with great air conditioning and a new tv with streaming services, great wifi and very comfortable
