Effie's Suites Old town

Location is awesome, in the old town, with easy acces to bus station, restaurants, nice places

We had a problem with the hit water in the middle of season and for the rest of it. Also if you stay more days you don't know where to put the trash.

Cockroaches and spider nests . In the bathroom the washbasin was full of salt stains. Same stands for the boiler

Location and communication with owner very good. Apartment was easy to find.

Steep narrow staircase and the small bathroom

Location was fantastic, generally it was clean and tidy and minus the bathroom had recently been refurbished to a relatively high standard

The bathroom flooded every time you used it and the smell of sewage from the drains was really strong. The entrance to the property was also not lit so it was difficult to get up the stairs at night with no light. The main issue however was the noise from upstairs, which I know is largely out of control of the owner, However needs to be mentioned as it sounded like the people above were dancing, stamping and running around all night, until 4.30am. It was so unbelievably loud it kept us awake all night. The flat above doesn’t look to be a rental so I can’t even blame this on bad guests and would assume this is normal behaviour (as we stayed on a Wednesday night).

It's close to the center and surrounded by really nice restaurants. The decor and space is ok. The kitchen is fully equipped, even though we haven't used it.

In short, avoid booking this place. Tons of bugs and cockroaches! Where to start... 1) Got to the studio to find out the previous guest took the keys, so we waited until the owner came 1h later to replace the door lock. He was really kind to pay for drinks we had while waiting, despite not being his fault. Yet, left us without the key to the entrance door and a door look not properly installed. 2) With no entrance key, we got locked out of the building after dinner - thankfully the restaurant workers and ladies from the next room were helpful. Yet, next morning there was no way to open the same door - in case of an emergency one would have to find the trick to open the door window and grab the outside handle. 3) There were dozens of bugs coming out of the shower, cockroaches in the bedroom and cobwebs everywhere in the hallway - yes, I know it's in the Old Town, but spending the night fighting against cockroaches is unacceptable for a 120€ room!!! Even after getting locked out I was considering giving a good rating, yet the disgusting fauna inside really make me say to avoid booking this place no matter what. 4) The bathroom is not in good condition - toilet seat is broken, shower is leaking, you need to find a tiny button on the electric panel to turn the hot water on, after showers it smells like sewage.

you have to hold the shower head, because there is no place in the walls to hold it. after the shower, small insects came out of the drain. we had to turn on and off the water heater as per the instructions, but it wasn’t enough time so we ended up having one cold shower
