Albany Garden

Amazing property, have used it a couple of times now and most likely use it again. Was ideal for what I wanted it for. Close to main high street and coastal areas. Enjoyed the extra space I had and the price was reasonable. Some hotels around the area was charging about the same and you got less. Go figure lol

Can't say they was much I didn't like. Maybe have some milk so can make a hot drink when you arrive? Had to do a bit of food shopping once I got there so wasn't a big problem. Just fancied a coffee when I dropped my bags off and had to wait.

Great location in a quiet area. Spacious well equipped property that suited our needs perfectly. Comfy beds and plenty of storage space which is often an issue when booking rentals. Kitchen is tiny but opens up into the lounge area with dining table. Suited me as no one got in my way whilst cooking breakfast 😆. Parking was fine and permits are provided for the peculiar 2 hour a day charge in place. Great hosts who are quick to respond, we’ve already booked to return.

nothing to be completely honest

I am leaving this review to warn others about my son’s recent stay at this property. From the moment he arrived, the experience was completely unacceptable. The host provided the wrong key box code, leaving him standing outside in the cold for over an hour and a half with no way to get in. Called the number provided 25 times or more and nobody answered. When he finally managed to enter, the condition of the apartment was far below what anyone would reasonably expect. In my opinion: The kitchen was dirty The sofa was dirty The “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together with a large gap in the middle There was constant noise coming from the property above, making it impossible to rest Because of all this, my son couldn’t sleep in the bed at all and ended up sleeping on the dirty sofa. This caused major stress, especially since it was his first day of work the next morning. When we raised these issues, the host offered not even a fraction of the price for the remaining days—far from an appropriate solution given the circumstances. To make matters worse, the host said, “this is my property, I can do whatever I like,” which we found extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this property. I strongly advise others to consider these issues before booking.

The weather was awful for much of our stay but the flat was cosy and dry, with a spacious main bedroom. Decor was fresh and modern. Wifi connection was excellent. Only a short walk to cafes and restaurants.

Theres a few steps and different floor levels inside, so those unsteady on their feet might find that tricky.

Die Wohnung war liebevoll ausgestattet und bot sehr viel Platz im Verhältnis mit anderen englischen Wohnungen. Wir haben den grossen Kleiderraum genutzt, um unsere Koffer zu verstauen, somit standen sie nicht im Weg. Es gab nebst einen Kühlschrank in der Küche, noch eine grössere im Raum wo die Waschmaschine und einen Trockner (auch für synthetische Wäsche, wie praktisch) standen, ein Traum! sonst gab es auch zwei Wäscheleinen draussen. Der Innenhof bot auch eine hübsche Ruheecke mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Lage war sehr ruhig und nicht so weit vom Bushaltestelle entfernt.

Es roch innen sehr muffig ( trotz lange Belüftungen), was nicht gerade angenehm war, auch wenn die Besitzer daran nichts ändern können. Die Wohnung liegt eben im untere Geschoss, halb im Boden. Wir waren trotzdem sehr zufrieden.

On se sent comme à la maison. C'est coquet, bien équipé et confortable.

The property was very spacious, clean and tidy and had everything you would need for staying over. It looked just like in the photos so we’re were very happy

If I could give one point for improvement it would be a dressing table with mirror and light would have been nice to sit at while doing my make up but does not affect what I thought about the property at all

This basement apartment was lovely and cool during this hot weather, situated 25 mins walk from all locations. It was well decorated, with all the items you would require during your stay. There are plenty of parking spots, and the parking permits are provided. I would defiantly stay there again.

How close you get to park is pot luck.
