There was no light in lane to the property and there was a lot of stairs my wife has recently had a hip replacement and it was awkward with the stairs and there was a controller for the heating which the instructions said to press the plus button to increase the temperature of the radiators to 19 degrees but not higher than 20 degrees and it did not all ways reach 19 or 20 degrees and the radiators did not heat up perfectly and the property was freezing and if the temperature got higher than 20 degrees were going to have additional charge and if the cleaning staff arrived before we checked out we were going to be charged a call out charge I think we should be given some sort of refund for the inconvenience our friend who stays in Galashiels said she won’t be recommending anybody to this property

Poor lighting on outside stairs

It was fairly well equipped, and for several reasons was a good location. Close to train station and we could walk to groceries and the Tapestry of Scotland Museum. Apartment was comfortable and quite modern.

Easy check in and out. The flat is within walking distance to the train which goes into Edinburgh (55 min ride), as well as a reasonably priced grocery store. The wifi and all of the appliances in the flat worked fine. There was detergent in the flat so we were able to do laundry upon arrival. The down comforter on the bed is warm. The living area was comfortable to relax and watch TV in. The kitchen and living area were clean upon arrival.

Undisclosed "heat limit" of 20C (68F) under threat of extra charges, and with the damp weather the flat feels chilly without a coat/ being in bed. The bathroom was dirty upon arrival, with water and hair in the shower, hairballs on floor, and toilet unscrubbed. No toiletries are provided besides hand soap, so that should be removed from listing. The flat is not soundproof and there is a fair bit of traffic & neighbor noise, so that should be removed from listing. The bed is an old fashioned spring mattress, not terrible, but not comfortable. There is a bottom sheet but no top sheet, so cold drafts get under the comforter easily with two people moving around. Previous tenant's used towel was hanging on the back of the bedroom door. Message sent to owner before arrival went unanswered for entire stay. I only had a week to find a place near Edinburgh and this was the best available at the time, but for over 100USD/night, the flat falls short. The flat could use the following to increase comfort and value: a top sheet, potholders, washcloths, salt & pepper shakers, adequate cleaning, adequate heating.

A very pleasant, clean and comfortable flat, in a good location just out of the town centre. Check-in and leaving arrangements were very straightforward.

I like the brightness, the cleanness, the near to the train station and to the supermarket… and a lot of more…

I didn't like the cold in the flat. We were there in the summer, but it was very cold outside and also in the flat. There was no way to heat the flat. The heaters were switched off.,

All the appliances worked. Close to useful amenities. Easy parking. Good instructions provided.
