Scott Street Modern Flat

The flat was in a good central location and makes a good base for visiting the Borders.

There wasn't anything that we were not happy with.

The location was central

The smell of cigarettes as soon as you walk in and the landlord was terrible. When I arrived the bed was soaking wet and wasn’t willing to get a cleaner out to sort it immediately and made me wait hours for one to arrive. The landlord (Mark) also tried to blame me as if I’d done it myself to try get out the property and didn’t give me any sort of refund. I would avoid at all costs

The welcoming atmosphere and warmth

Central location handy for exploring Borders.Comfortable bed.Good Wi Fi and TV. Clean .Milk,tea etc left by host.Good shower and hot water on demand. Had all necessary for a good stay .Paolo's Italian Restaurant worth a visit.

Key broke in lock as tried to enter flat-dealt with quickly by owner. Steep outside stair should be noted for ayone with mobility issues.As it is on a main thoroughfare there was a lot of traffic noise .

Lovely wee flat. Has been modernised and is very clean comfortable and well-equipped. We had a great stay1

Steep steps to the rear,lack of toilettes

Excellent location,great full fibre broadband and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike

Good location, apartment is good for 2 adults and good use of spacing, nicely decorated, peaceful area.

Could do with a draining board in the kitchen worktop, would make washing up easier!

Location was great. Bed was comfy. 10 minutes walk to Banks Street and less to local attractions. At least 5 really good pubs/restaurants on Banks Street and grocery not more than 12 mins walk. Really good convenience store half a block away.

Be prepared for a hill climb and then stairs up to the flat. We walked from the bus station (interchange) and while we are reasonably fit for 60 somethings :) it was a bit of work. We only stayed for 3 nights and it was fine but we wouldn’t stay for much longer as it is minimally supplied.
