Maude St Apartments

Seemed tidy on arrival but there was at least a month of grass growing around the property.

It was very dirty. There was a poo in the toilet and faeces smeared on the toilet button and the walls of the toilet. There was blood smeared on the washing machine door and floor in front of the machine. The split system was blowing out dust and on closer inspection, the air con was filthy with mould and no air filters were in where they should be. The bathroom had heat lamps hanging from the ceiling out of the actual casement. There was no bath mat, and only one face washer and one soap for 4 adults. Very unsanitary. There were No bin bags, no wash cloths, and we were unable to cook as there was only one fork, one knife and one spoon. I called owner, who asked me to go to supermarket @ 6 o’clock at night and buy all the items. We are there for a funeral in the morning. My uncle is 85 and a celiac so buying food elsewhere is very hard. I was unable to cook due to their not being enough supplies. No where to put food scraps and no cleaning items. I was very mad as we already had to flush a poo from the toilet when we first arrived. The grass was too long. There was a dirty towel on the line and grass up to my knees. The blankets were not on the bed although the winter night was expected to be 4 degrees, the heater was unable to be turned on due to the fire hazard of thick dust on the internal elements. There was a very dirty, white mucus stained blanket we were expected to use to sleep with and we had to sleep with layers of clothing on. We also were awoken to people arriving in unit beside us at 12 pm on a Thursday night and being very loud. We had to buy the items needed. They did reimburse us $135 but I feel I need to make a complaint as I had to buy tea, sugar, cleaning supplies and clean the place so it was sanitary enough for 3 elderly people on immune suppressant medication. It is not up to Australian standards. I know as I was a professional cleaner in 4 & 5 star resorts and serviced appartments for around 20 years.

Location was very good

There was no dishwashing liquid, no cloths or teatowel. There were tea bags but only 2 coffees for a 3 day stay. There was no broom or dustpan. There was only one blanket for each bed. There was a smelly bar fridge that hadn't been cleaned.

Spacious , comfortable , self-contained apartment in the city , free parking at your own door , fast and efficient communication with the management ! Highly recommend this accommodation! Thank you
