It was cheap and it served a purpose of somewhere to stay, the shops and tram stop are just around the corner

There was no panel on the fire alarm so whether it worked or not was anyone’s guess. It smelled really strongly of smoke, so I can only imagine whoever stayed there last took it apart so they could smoke and this wasn’t picked up by the owner. There is however a no smoking policy in the apartment. Polyester bedding in this heat probably isn’t the best idea, it retains heat and moisture so made for an uncomfortable nights sleep Not the fault of the owner or property but the people on the street and in the apartment beside us were so loud! Banging doors and screaming at 4am! We said there were 3 of us staying, we didn’t need 12 places to sleep but it would have been nice to have 3 actual beds rather than 2 beds and 1 sofa

The host was quite good at getting in touch before we arrived.

We read the reviews a week before coming and unfortunately worked ourselves up albeit felt prepared for the reality. It’s in a bit of a rough part, upstairs from a massage parlour and tents for the homeless on the road behind. Probably not a good idea for groups of women to walk about alone. We got in the door and it was new, clean and smelt good, got into the apartment and that changed. It had a surface clean but the pictures are not honest. It’s very aged, the furnishings and floors are all well worn. The inside of the bath had bits in and was stained with a ring of muck. Toilet seemed clean. Potential pubic hair in the sink though… First bedroom wasn’t bad. Lounge area didn’t have bedding and we specifically requested all the bedding for 12. Kitchen door was propped open but filthy. Fridge and freezer clean but well over iced. Teabags had been wet and looked used. I dared not open the sofa beds after reading previous reviews. Cupboards need a bit of DIY - didn’t look in them but generally a bit scruffy, sticky and gross. The host has clearly took advantage of angles when photographing the place. It’s also clearly been used a lot since the photos were taken by groups that haven’t took a lot of care. Up the stairs to the other bedroom and it is FULL of beds and boiling hot. The room is strange because it’s a conversion and the beds don’t fit in the eaves so there’s lots of random space to the side and behind beds. One of the doubles in there had a really suspicious white stain on the fitted sheet. Gross. There’s also a random door in the bedroom that leads to a really strange room with dining chairs facing in. It freaked us out a bit as it’s like a cuckolding corner. In fact the whole apartment gives weird orgy vibes and feels seedy.

Cost effective, easy accessible to local transport.
