Southern Comfort

The location was close to mine and hubbys job and the bus picked up the kids right in front of the building.

We were able to sign for the room at a hotel in downtown ocean city (no keys just a code for the door) and my place was on 70th st. Kinda irritating but it's whatever. After we arrived we realized it was a very small room for the 5 of us. (It said it held 6). It was 2 double beds in one room and a pull out sofa. It was very tight and crowded. None of the outlets were right and looked burnt out. Toilet didn't sit onto the floor and every time you sat on it it moved up/down. The shower head didn't move so you took a shower right against the wall under the shower head. The toilet also didn't flush right. Bathroom sink was ok. The kitchen had mixed dishes and not enough for 5 let alone 6 people. The stove was no longer there and it was a flat top in the counter. It didn't work but with one pot. No pans and the second burner didn't work at all. The toaster oven was so small it didn't even cook the French bread pizzas. The microwave was the original from 1980 so it heats uneven. Parking was small and limited even 2 in the front or 4 in the back of people parked right. The pull out couch was uneven and not made for 2 people to sleep. The head part of it leaned down so it was under the cushions. We had to put the pillows in the hole with blankets and then books under the leg to make it even. They took out the square table to old the max for a 4 person table in front of the air conditioner. Speaking of it didn't work and it def didn't cool off the house. There is soooo much I could write about this house. I was there for 4 weeks.

The property was old sort of ran down. Towels and wash clothes were not provided. Smelled really old and tub was not very pleasant to shower in. Beds were extremely uncomfortable sheets felt almost like they were plastic.

Close to the beach....plenty to choose from on TV channels....across from Fireside restaurant

I did not like that the place has to be delivered at 11 am Most of the hotels, to say the least, allow you to stay until 3 pm I wonder why I was told that I must deliver at 11 am ???

Location

The check-in place is not at the location of the apartment complex. As we were walking up, the smell of weed filled the air. The tenant next to us was smoking outside. The apartment smelled of mold and was not clean. There were many things that were not in good condition including holes in the cushions, one of the shower faucets were broken, and you could literally see through the door to the outside. As we were leaving for our first outing, I tried to lock the door. The touch pad locked with ease, but the door DID NOT latch so you could literally open the door back up. The door looked as though someone broke in so it would not latch. After seeing this, I called the property manager regarding the safety of the apartment. I have three young kids and the door didn't lock among other concerns. The manager was very rude and not accommodating. It was nonrefundable and there was nothing he could do.
