Apartamentos Caimán Tortuguero

The host did not speak English but imaginatively used voice translation to convey his message. He was very helpful and kind. The place was very clean and and close the the national park. He organised the two most important tour; the turtle tour and the canoe tour. Both tours were great. Form my bedroom window, I saw a spider monkey just two meters away.

They should accept credit cards. Majority of restaurants accept credit cards, so it should not be a problem. They took me to a supermarket where I had to get cash for additional 5%. The bedroom is upstairs and the staircase is steep and narrow.

The air conditioning in the apartments was essential for our family. The owner’s adult children were very helpful and kind throughout our stay. Apartments were clean and comfortable. 

1. I did not like that the property did not take credit card but wanted you to pay when you got there. I think it is much better to pay via booking.com. It is difficult to travel with hundreds of dollars of cash these days. Just not smart or safe.  2. In order to get to the property, you had to walk down a sidewalk that was littered in trash.  I don’t think it would take long to pick up all that trash.

Great location in the village och close to the national park. Clean and tidy. Carlos is a very friendly host that do whatever he can to make your stay as good as possible!

The AC was very necessary, it was like walking into a fridge upstairs! We very much appreciate that Carlos had the AC on for our arrival; he was a wonderful host!!

The stairs were fine for us but would be steep for anyone with knee issues.

Clean and comfortable. Having a kettle and some cooking facilities was useful. The AC in the bedroom was very good given the high temperature. Very helpful host.

Steep stairs to bedroom. No breakfast bowls only plates. Could do with a more visible sign at the end of the lane. Would be a squeeze for 4 people.

This is probably the nicest place I have stayed at during my stay at Costa Rica. You basically have a whole flat to yourself, which is well equipped, spotless clean and seems to be pretty new. The location is perfect, the owner was lovely. You really can’t go wrong with this place!

The apartment has a central location. Carlos is a great host, helped with everything even he brought us pineapple! The apartment was clean equipped with kettle,.coffee maker etc. I really recommend this apartment for your stay.

Everything was fine.

Awesome location and host Carlos and family were super welcoming and happy to answer our questions. Located on residential street in Tortuguero just a very short walk to restaurants and other attractions.

Not much to say here. The stairs to the second floor were higher than usual steps so might be challenging for those with mobility issues but we had no problems and really enjoyed our stay.
