air-con would be better than small fans
USLodging was a 3-bed, 2-room arrangement with plenty of glasses and plates. Rooms were clean and ventilated with fans. Proprietor Carlo and son Steven were very welcoming. Carlo took me on brief exploratory bike ride when I arrived. Despite rather run-down neighbourhood, I felt perfectly safe. Suggest taking note of how to find the place for your teturn (using commercial advertisement signs) because "roads" are not signposted and not many people know the place to direct you. Carlo has done a good job.
Initial difficulty finding it.
DKGreat welcome at the port, the guy who picked us up did his best to get us a reservation on a night turtle tour the same day. Spacious apartment, close to everything.
One of the rooms was stinky - might have had some mold, but you’re in a jungle… Cold water, but again - you’re on an island in jungle. Just be prepared for that 😁
