Very quiet location, perfect for running, biking and walking. Very nice hosts and well provisioned.

Lovely location and so peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous views of rolling fields. Good location for the Monmouthshire area (or any of Eastern Wales). Very clean and ideal for a couple or a single traveler. Comfy bed, good Wi-Fi, everything we needed for our stay. Host Sharon was super helpful (especially when we lost the key and accidentally left a couple of shirts behind!). Also enjoyed the sounds of the cows and sheep in the nearby fields.

Nothing to dislike. Possibly useful to have a little guide to the cottage facilities like the hob but we worked it out. Would’ve been nice to have bedroom lights with either a dimmer switch or a small bedside lamp as a bit bright for reading in bed but that’s just being picky. Everything was lovely and we enjoyed a relaxing break. Highly recommend this for a restful country escape.

Wonderful warm cosy cottage in lovely tranquil countryside . It had everything we needed including a well equiped kitchen , good wifi , comfortable bed & small lounge area with a TV . Though fairly remote it is within easy access to Abergavenny & the Brecon Beacons .

Solitude..

Miscommunication re arrival time, thus having to wait for cottage to be ready. Sheets & towels a bit scratchy. Unable to get heated water for bathroom sink. Unable to get Wi-Fi

The location, the peace and tranquility. The apartment lay out. Cosy and warm, lovely underfloor heating. Nice big tv. Good Internet within the home. Boiling water on tap! Lovely big pillows. Nice quilt. Meeting our host on arrival, even though she was in the apartment, moping the floor? We were a bit late.

This actually irritated me all weekend... The bedding! For £95 per night we expect really nice, crisp, IRONED linen, as good as we have at home, if not better. I Never have or would put creased linen on a bed. And our linen looked like it had been screwed up and dragged from the ironing pile, unironed... such a shame, it definitely was not what we expect for that price. Also bits of used food, (stale grey Weetabix in a jar) , the overwhelming smell of dried spices and other condiments in the pantry cupboard. Plants cuttings. Used milk in the fridge. Half used toiletries. It really felt like someone lived there, and moved out for us. We have stayed in cheaper apartments, and they have been pristine. Host needs to either reduce price or.. Make it a £95 a night stay.

Beautiful setting with excellent facilities. Really comfortable bed too!

Loved everything about our stay, nothing negative to say! One suggestion would be to have a darker blind and/or curtains in the bedroom; the plus side though is we were up early and enjoying the beautiful surroundings!

Very stylish and comfortable. The fixtures, fittings & furniture was excellent quality. No corners had been cut in the renovation of this sweet cottage.

Location was wonderful. Property was as described and suitable for those who are disabled / limited mobility.

The stools at breakfast bar were too high for me and not suitable for disabled persons. The two seater sofa had seen better days and was not very comfortable. It would have been nice to have had a comfortable chair or even recliner chair to sit in the living room. Also a proper chair in the bedroom would have been good. Similarly, outdoor furniture was not comfortable to sit on.
