Driftwood Cottage

It was really cosy and had everything we needed. In a great location for St.Ives.

Hardly anything. We would have appreciated perhaps a small armchair as well as the sofa but otherwise it was great.

Very quaint, comfortable

The cabin was nicely furnished and (superficially) clean. The hosts were very nice and tried to help us.

The cottage had not met our expectations, it was much too small for four people, and it was located in a rather old holiday park complex in the middle of a dark forest. Therefore, the entire resort was very unattractive to us. We had also thought that it would be a bit larger. Unfortunately, the cottage is full of spiders and insects because there are no fly screens. You have to know that if you don’t like too much nature in your house. The bathroom and shower are really very small too. We also found that it was very damp in there as our clothes hardly dried and it always smelled a bit musty.

Clean Friendly host Quiet

It was dark and only got the sun on decking first thing in the morning It was very small but clean and tidy The double bed was up against the wall so not accessible from both sides or at the foot of the bed. The photos don’t make this clear. The information on the booking website describe it as a cottage in Lelant. Please aware this is on a holiday park which is in Lelant Downs not in the village of Lelant. The shower is powerful but very cramped for space It costs extra to use the swimming pool. The site itself is ‘tired’ but quiet which was nice. I personally feel that this was misleading and I have informed the Host of this.

The St Ives Village is really beautiful and well maintained. the cottage has good kitchen with all the needed cutleries and equipments.

the bathroom was very small, water would clog while bathing and was not provided with basic amenities like shower gel. we had to go buy a shower gel outside the village the next morning which was saddening. the room had soiled towels which could have been by mistake so can be ignored.

the decoration was amazing, the location too. waking up and seeing the forest was soo refreshing. Laura was very helpful.

the wardrobe was smelling humidity

Friendly and helpful. Had a minor issue with a broken fuse, owner was on the case and got it sorted straight away. Very nice stay.
