Lots of space

Bathroom cleaniness, not a place to stay if you are tall! It is an attic conversion so lots of low ceilings. Didn't meet the hosts

Key collection and check-in was easy, including a video detailing the process. Jungle gym for kids. Apartment was clean. Strong air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool in summer

No separate entrance for the house. Can walk into the owner's house through the front door. Lacking a private garden or braai area. Basic kitchen with only a microwave to cook meals. No stove/hot plates. Ceilings are low and angled in places throughout the apartment. Knocked my head a few times during our stay.

Modernized dutch house. Decking redone, so there is a levelled top floor. Roof has ceiling (not straw, so no spider's, etc) and has sky windows - nice touch. Clean and supplied with toiletries, soaps, teas, hair dryer etc. Excellent location between Paal and Franchoek. Private, peaceful, scenic, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful garden with roses and trees, including pomegranate. Well maintenence lawn, with a jungle gym.

1) There's less space to move around, because of the height of the decking, and with 45 degree angle of the ceiling, you can hit your head against the ceiling (can be easily sorted out with Signage, a different color painted line along head height) 2) It is hard to open the bathroom door handle, which is a knob, when your hands are wet, as the spring mechanism is abit tough. A child or elderly person would have a problem here, but i believe q20 would sort this out. However, this aligns with the theme of having golden knob handles around the house. However, the re-construction of the attic couldn't have been better, and (other than this) is confomfortable and safe. At the price this is excellent value for money - i highly recommend!

No breakfast. Location not convenient if Franschhoek is your focus

At least have a sign at entrance advertising the place! Entrance gate locked with no intercom or button to advise arrival
