Bucklands - Chalet 15

Beautiful location. Excellent value.

Strong smell of damp in kitchen cupboard where plates/bowls located. Sofa felt damp (arm), initially thought it was due to being cleaned before arrival, but it was the same when we left.

Probably ok during season

We booked this as a break so we could spend a bit of time at the pool together and usual stuff only to find when we got there nothing at all was open....the site had a couple of residents walking their dogs and that was it,we spoke to the staff to see if the pool was open or the bar and restaurant and she said she couldn't believe why we'd not been informed nothing would be open as season doesn't start for another week,so we just drove the 2 hours back home so all in all a complete waste of time sadly

The location was fantastic and quick access to local amenities. Although, the resort was actually closed we still were able to have a lovely morning coffee outside in the sunshine and a nice breakfast that we made ourselves.

N/A everything was great.

The chalet was lovely and had everything we needed. No damp smells, and tv worked absolutely fine. My only thing to change would be the sofa bed as you def couldn't sleep on it. For four people is perfect. Even though we brought all of our own things, there were tea, coffee, and cleaning products. The heaters more than kept us warm. We def will be back. Thank you for a great price and communication from Nigel.

Śmierdząca pleśnią domek, brudna i mokra sifa w salonie nie do użycia. Żadne z atrakcji w opisie nie działały.

The accommodation was as described

The place was damp when we got into it. The heating was inadequate for the size of the chalet as it took nearly the whole weekend to warm up.

The bath lights and spinney seat. Sofa was comfy

Finding it a cross very wet sodden grass. Cold on entry windows open no heating on. No milk for tea and coffee. Luke warm tap water. Beds really bad. Worse I've ever tried to sleep on. It took ages to try and get it warm. TV didn't have picture and had to reset. Then the same in the morning. We tried to call Nigel number unavailable. Really was not impressed absolutely knackered. Not what we wanted. The site was shut so no breakfast although it suggests on ad you can get breakfast at £7.50. Really felt we should've had more info about park. Contacts etc in chalet.

A winter break with little or no people! North devon is a wonderful place

Weather was fairly good l had a couple of days with sunny breaks, such is the English winter. The chalet was a little damp and cold initially but soon warmed up with the heating...the lack of symbols on the cooker was a nightmare!! But l cooked anyways...All in all it was a pleasent stay.
