Bucklands - Chalet 15

The property was very clean and recently decorated giving it a fresh nice clean look. Sofa was comfy and the bathroom was clean and modern and well equipped. Kitchen was modern and had all the amenities required and all were modern and new. Kitchen lounge and bathroom were spot on. Heaters throughout leaving the place nice and toasty despite the wintry weather outside.

The double bed was horribly uncomfortable and left me with a sore back the next day. Seems to be a very old mattress and needs replacing. Despite the checkout time being 1200 we had a knock on the door from the owner at 1030 asking us how long until we were leaving and when I said not sure maybe 30 minutes to an hour he replied with I’ll be back in 30 minutes then. Very rude. We felt like we were being turfed out early. It was our holiday and due to the poor weather we decided to have a slower morning and leave later but having a knock on the door asking us when we were leaving is wrong and rude when the checkout time on the booking confirmation is 1200.

Fantastic location. Great having the pool on site. Lots of local attractions nearby. Close to beaches and South West coastal path is on the doorstep.

Location was fab. Nice and quiet. Great views. Nice chalet but...

...could do with a freshen up and a good clean. Found pizza down side of chair and a lid and there was thick dust underneath and a couple of nut shells. Felt and smelt damp and when you opened kitchen cupboards it smelt very musty. The mattress on double bed felt like it was on a slope! One of the single duvets was a bit grubby looking. Top of oven hadn't been cleaned properly.

Can’t say we liked the property it is a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures and very tired.

The outside is quite unkempt with furniture that has seen better days, all of the beds were uncomfortable. The access down to the beach was unusable and the trip to all the facilities from the chalet was a very long uphill & downhill walk.
