"Very disappointing after seeing good images online. More like a backpacker place except for pricing."

Good secure parking.

Self catering unit was far from parking area and accessed only by steps. It would have been difficuct to carry all food materielas to the unit had we been staying for longer than one night. No help was offered with carrying. Bedrooms were rather dreary and not especially clean. One of the showers flooded.

Ideal location when visiting Clanwilliam. Close to centre of town yet a little haven away from hustle & bustle. Our garden cottage was bigger than expected so plenty of room to stow luggage. Lots of kitchen space. Enjoyed sitting out on the verandah or near the poolside. Beautifully maintained gardens. We were looked after very well & gifted with home-made bread, butter and mango preserves! Mosquitoes a bit of a problem but well provided with coil burners & repellants. Owner, Karen provided us with lots of info about the area. We particularly enjoyed the rock art walking trail and our guided tour of the local museum.

Rosenhof Garden Cottage is an excellent place to stay (for a longer time). We only stayed one night and we would have liked to stay longer. Our hostess Karen is a great communicator. Via WhatsApp she advised us many places to visit and things to do. She came to say hello to us. Her staff is also very attentive, providing us with homemade bread and delicious jam. Karen made an earlier check in possible. We felt very welcome. The cottage itself was big: it could sleep 8 people I think. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Very comfortable ! The first time this happened during our trip ! In front of our cottage there were mango trees... with some ripe fruit... delicious !

The beautiful property was well cared for with a bright, clean pool, mango trees, and nice sitting areas outside. The property was very secure. You parked your car behind the security gate.
