1 Lisburne House

Had some treats on arrival, which was a lovely touch. And very close to shops and beach. Very comfy bed.

The apartment was adjoined to another apartment.which looked like permanent tenants living there.Was very noisy at 2 in the morning..bathroom very small.. Also, it states you can take a dog on booking.com..but unfortunately that's not the case. X

Location was amazing! Could see the ocean from the front windows. Great kitchen.

Shower was pretty small, but worked well. Slight noise at night when the college kids were out, and about a flight of stairs.

The location is incredible! The apartment is spacious and very tastefully appointed.

The bathroom was filled with mold everywhere. And one of us got really sick by the mold. Which ruined a bit of our trip

The location is fabulous. Right in the heart of town and across the road from the promenade. The property had everything you could want in a self catering property including fresh milk on arrival, tea, coffee, sugar, chocolates and crisps. A lovely touch! Toiletries in the bathroom were useful, although we did use our own. Clean and comfortable.

I would love to have given this 10 across the board but we did have a couple of issues which have been raised in previous reviews but the owners have chosen not to address. Firstly, whilst tastefully furnished throughout, the bedroom would benefit from blackout curtains. The white Venetian blinds whilst smart and classy let in a ridiculous amount of light from 5am onwards. If you prefer dark bedrooms it’s not for you. We had to pop out after our first night and buy eye masks. Secondly, the windows are old and only single glazed. The two nights we stayed here the wind howled and whistled through the windows and kept us awake on both nights, even though the second night we had bought some earplugs I couldn’t sleep with them as just not used to it. Whilst centrally located and above and adjacent to two cocktail bars there was noise from the street and revellers in general this could be vastly improved with double glazing. I honestly couldn’t believe that with such a fabulous apartment in a prime location they haven’t invested in double glazing, especially as there are only two windows in the flat. Such a shame.

The flat was really lovely and in a great location for everything. The flat was better than the pictures and they were good! I felt safe there on my own and would definitely visit again.

The fridge hadn't had a wipe out. Other than that it was all lovely. It was noisy during the night but that isn't the fault of the flat, but the students that live there in the UNI town!
