LBIt has everything I needed
I felt a bit cold at night, should have closed the door of the bedroom to keep the warmth in side the room.
GBThe apartment is elegantly decorated and the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in (and I travel a lot). The kitchen is well equipped and easy to operate. Vanessa, the lovely hostess, even left me a gorgeous cake. If you don't want to cook there is the ship Inn a few minutes walk away.
The house is close to the road however there is good soundproofing when you get inside
GBGBReally excelente especially for the price, only good things to say, if you go you have to check out the train resteraunt a 10 minute drive away! (Literally a resteraunt in an old stream train!)

GBJust messaged to say we were an hour away. Was sent the code and Vanessa popped over within 30 mins of arriving to see if all was OK. Lovely, friendly host. Perfect base to explore Cockermouth/keswick area. Pub over the Road.
We did struggle a little with the black bathroom. Could have done with a brighter light in there. Plus an extra lamp in the lounge would have been helpful.
GBWe had a fantastic stay at the Dovenby apartment! The house was spotless, well-organized, and equipped with everything we needed, which made it incredibly convenient. The location was wonderful for our stay in the Lakes. What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful touches from the host— excellent communication, milk provided for our arrival on Christmas Day and a delicious lemon drizzle cake left by the door one morning. Such kindness and generosity really stood out and added a personal touch to our stay. Overall, it was a lovely time in the Lakes, and we’re so grateful for the warm welcome. Thank you!

GBI had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, organised, and in a wonderfully quiet location that was perfect for relaxing. Upon arrival, I was delighted to find delicious cakes waiting for me, truly the best I’ve ever had! I called the host to thank her, and two days later, she surprised me with more cakes left by the door. Her kindness and generosity made the experience feel extra special—she’s truly one in a million!!
I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The house was clean, organised, and equipped with everything I needed. The location is quiet, which makes for a peaceful experience. The only minor suggestion would be to consider upgrading the bed size in the future, as the room is spacious enough to accommodate it. Overall, it is highly recommended!
GBIt was lovely, very clean and comfortable, along with a nice cozy feel to the place. The apartment was in a great location and the host was fantastic in giving us ideas of the local areas, along with some splendid delicious cakes that we enjoyed on arrival.
