GBClean, well furnished with everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Excellent engagement from the host.
Nothing about the apartment. Minor issues are due to the age and type of building. Sound from above apartments can travel through the floor so makes us conscious of tv volume, conversation level etc. It's next to the main road with single pane windows so traffic noise can be a bit loud at rush hour. Both are minor and wouldn't stop us coming again.
GBClean, and nice location to explore the northwest Lakes. Good to have own parking. Great communication from the host Vanessa throughout. The lemon drizzle cake was a pleasant surprise and super delicious!
GBGBcomfortable bed and superb shower a pub across the road for a meal/drink, though we cooked as we knew the apartment would be very well equipped having stayed with the host previously.

GBAbsolutely amazing. We were on the ground floor - there are 3 apartments and plenty of parking room We booked for 2 nights as we were walking Scarfell Pike on Saturday 1st June (but did not want to pay stupid prices in Keswick area and only a 40 min drive). The accommodation is fantastic - Vanessa provides fresh milk - there's tea and coffee - and bakes you a cake...we had a warm Lemon Drizzle one of the best I've ever had. There are coffee pots, and a great selection of pots and pans and a dishwasher. The shower is just the best I've seen - better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. Also provided are dressing gowns and Shower Gel, Shampoo etc. Comfy bed, nice sitting room area Across the road is a pub - basic food, big plates and good quality - after the walk I was not going to cook. I can highly recommend Dovenby Apartment
