Lovely room. The hosts provide all required amenities including a coffee machine with unlimited capsules, a toaster and a microwave in the room The neighborhood is quiet but with restaurants and cafes within a 10 minute walking radius. We met Eric a couple of times and he’s very helpful with recommendations and advice. They also provide a basic breakfast of bagels with ham and butter, cookies and muffins

It’s a little far from the old town - about a 30 minute walk which can be an issue particularly in the rain. The bathroom, while private, is not ensuite which can be slightly inconvenient

Everything about this place was well-thought out, every need anticipated. Before arrival, the hosts sent detailed, informative messages including instructions, directions, and restaurant recommendations. We had a door code, but the owner met us anyway. The room was a good size, with a decent bed, closet, and a comfy nook for breakfast/reading. Snacks available 24/7, and whenever we needed anything they responded quickly. The location was perfect -- right on a major, frequent bus line, and about 10 minutes by bus from the old city. Because we were staying for four nights, the hosts obtained free 3-day bus passes that were waiting for us when we arrived. The same bus took us to St Roch (trendy/excellent restaurants) so everything was so easy. In the end we took buses everywhere, because we never needed a cab. A perfect place for us -- we loved it.

WARNING FOR LIGHT SLEEPERS ONLY: Choose a room on the lower floor. The attic rooms have bathrooms that are served by a pump that moves waste water (e.g., after you flush the toilet, when the sink has been running for a bit, when the shower is running). It's brief, but pretty loud. It never woke me up, but I can imagine that if you're a light sleeper and someone uses one of the washrooms in the night, you might be disturbed by it. So pick the lower-floor room instead, or bring your earplugs.

Beautiful room with comfortable beds. Very welcoming hosts. Walking distance to everything. Great traditional Quebec City house. Free parking with access to charging station. Home bake goods and fresh fruits are available to the guests. Easy access to washer and dryer.
