The view was great

It's hard to find as when you book it's called Ponta but its actually Ponta Nova hotel with the apartments attached. Bit shabby looking from the outside but nice inside the apartment. Visited in May but the weather was shocking, Cold and rainy and only a thin sheet and what looked like a large towel to keep you warm

the view was lovely, the view from the room/balcony was stunning, 50 min walk along the beach to Budva, a longer and more challenging walk to Sveti Stefan but possible, right on 2 nice shingle beaches and short walk to 2 supermarkets (though more expensive supermarkets than the larger ones outside of the area).

The hotel in general was unclean and unkept, the jacuzzi didn’t work and was disgusting, the pool was small cold and dirty, the bar was unmanned so the bar was not open the whole week, the lift to/from the pool was broke one day and the stairwell was locked, I panicked as there were 2 staff in the stairwell I could see through the glass who wouldn’t let us out and one just shrugged his shoulders so we were trapped and no staff to help, the pool was freezing cold, room was filthy, riddled with dust, the floor and bedding were both dirty, the hot water was intermittent at best, the cleaners took the tip we left but never cleaned (bins emptied and towels changed only), the balcony door was broke and would not lock, we reported this at the reception immediately after checking in but the receptionist just told us to go to our room and ignored me when I asked if someone was coming and just stared at her mobile phone- no one ever showed for the whole week, there was rubbish bags left around, communal floors had spilled drinks there for days, Wi-Fi worked in the room for 2 days max and no Wi-Fi anywhere except reception. the restaurant /bar was virtually unmanned, the staff were all sat round a table having drinks all day and it took 3 members of staff to get us 2 beers, when someone did, I had to point out where the bottle opener was, the price list is apparently incorrect - I said we were overcharged for drinks but he said it’s a 2015 price list (this is may 2023) no one offered us more drinks. we even sat in the outdoor area with a bottle of water we purchased elsewhere and weren’t even questioned, they are just so lazy and unhelpful, this was out of season too!

I want to be as concise as possible about our experience. The first thing was the long wait for answers to simple questions, such as clarifying if Ponta was the same Ponta Nova hotel, to which we received coordinates that turned out to be 1km away. In other rooms we stayed in Montenegro we received detailed indications so that our arrival was immediate and to avoid any inconvenience. When we managed to locate the entrance to the hotel where we could park the car, we arrived at the room (which is a tower attached to the hotel) and at the entrance, there was the stinking garbage from other rooms, accumulated for an undetermined time and that they ended up picking up only until the next day. The room inside was in a rather poor condition (as was the whole building in general), highlighting a Broken shower pole, lack of an electrical outlet in the kitchen (??), towels that already looked and feel like sandpaper. etc. The only redeemable feature of the room was its view, otherwise, I do not recommend it at all.

To be honest, for the price you pay here isn’t fair to get the attitude by some employees there. Also, the room that was shown thru the website I booked wasn’t the same one I got over there, it was different room that I wasn’t fan of it. Just giving heads up for costumer service improvement. *I was charged .50€ more by the restaurant for one order and didn’t get the receipt for it as well, which is not fair for the hotel’s guests*

Great location near two beaches and walking avenue with bars and restaurants. Great views, daily cleaning, parking, great terrace with small poll and jacuzzi. Lift directly to the sea.

The stay would deserve a 10 if the breakfeast would be better. The choices were good, but the eggs and sausages were always cold.
