Helios Garden Boutique Apartments

Staying at Helios Garden was the best decision we made when we visited Rhodes in early September this year. Despite some personal issues that made Jay be alone during those days, he was extremely helpful and kind. He organised a taxi to pick up us at the ferry dock, then waited for us at the closest entrance of the old city to Helios Garden, and carried our 2 huge suitcases (not at all convenient if you stay in the old city) with his cart. When we arrived, he showed us around the little beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and our gorgeous room, that included water, a bottle of wine and some fruits. Everything in Helios is exceptional, beginning with Jay, who gave my wife a short tour around the city and recommended some restaurants and sightseeing places. I had to stay in the room with our 1 year old daughter who had a fever, but the room was so comfortable and well equipped that we could not have asked for more. Talking about the room, it is very spacious, it has a nice and well equipped kitchen, a cute little living room with a small couch, and a big bedroom with a super comfortable bed, huge wardrove to put your clothes and space to leave your luggage, everything exquisitely decorated and clean. The bathroom was also very comfortable and clean. The garden is a dream in the middle of the old city, very well-kept, with lots of trees and flowers and nice couches, chairs and tables where you can sit and have a drink or just relax. Bring some mosquito-repelent though ;) Helios is situated close to Saint Athanasios Gates (south part of the old city) in a small quiet street that provides a perfectly calm and noiseless stay. In barely 5 minutes walking distance you will find shops, restaurants, cafes, churches and anything you need to discover the gorgeous old city of Rhodes.

Everything was great

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of the old town situated down a very quiet cobbled side street. Our hosts met us outside the town walls (no cars allowed inside) took control of our luggage and walked us to the accommodation. They provided us with some much needed snacks and refreshment (we arrived at 2130h) and then gave us a very useful orientation of the old town which included hints of where to eat what to see and crucially how to find our way back to the apartment. Just a wonderful introduction to Rhodes. Oh and the apartment was also beautiful set in a gorgeous garden where we had a delicious breakfast the first morning.

Look no further! This is what you deserve. An 11-out- of-10 rated accommodation. A small, family-run, 5-star boutique oasis, within the Old Town walls, provides only a few top quality comfortable modern apartments, all tastefully furnished, fine interior design, a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful garden with several tranquil seating areas to read or sip wine, and unmatched service from hosts Jay and Meike—and all at a very reasonable price. And if you were wanting a delicious breakfast—well, you can choose that option too. As a Canadian travel writer, I I know that gems like this one are very hard to find. So just book it!

Absolutely brilliant! There is not one thing overlooked by Jay and Meike at these beautiful apartments. From booking to our departure, we were so well looked after. Attention to detail and guest comfort really make this an exceptional place to stay in the quieter part of the Old Town.(And we'd recommend breakfast in the garden too!)

Helios Garden was everything I could’ve asked for. The location was perfect, in old town but off the main tourist area, the accommodation was excellent, very clean, thoughtfully furnished and had everything I needed. All this is great but what makes it exceptional are the hosts Jay and Meike, so thoughtful. When I arrived, there were some snacks and welcome drinks for me. On my last day Meike even walked me up to the bus stop to the airport. Thank you both for your hospitality. Can’t recommend Helios Gardens highly enough.

Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν πάρα πολύ ευγενικός κ εξυπηρετικός! Μας μετέφερε τις βαλίτσες από και προς το κατάλυμα 4 η ώρα το πρωί. Προσφέρθηκε να μας πάει βόλτα στο κέντρο με τα πόδια για να μας δείξει τα κατατόπια. Μας έφερνε περαστικά καθημερινά, κάποια κιόλας που έφτιαξε η γυναίκα του. Είχε κρασί για μας κ φρούτα και νερά στο ψυγείο. Μας κέρασε μόλις φτάσαμε. Μας έδωσε δώρα handmade όταν φύγαμε. Δεν έχουμε λόγια για την άψογη φιλοξενία μας έκανε το ταξιδι μας και τη διαμονή μας αξέχαστη. Ευχαριστούμε για όλα κύριε Jan!!!!

Lovely spacious, clean rooms with great air con. Apartments are full of character, with a lovely garden and located in the heart of Rhodes old town but the street is nice and quiet so feels peaceful. Our host was very welcoming, meeting us at the old town gate and helping with our bags. Great value for the area and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Rhodes town.

Location was superb, in the middle of the Medieval City of Rhodes. Jay and Meike went beyond their duties to make my stay comfortable and pleasant.
