Cà dei Ciuà, Terre Marine

Right in the main part of Riomaggiore and so close to train, beach, restaurants. Very comfortable and quiet. Shared foyer space with another apartment but isn’t an issue - don’t see anyone else while there. Loved the location and property was very neat and clean.

The apartment was very well situated in the middle of the village, with lots of cafes and restaurants. The host was great with communication and sent us step by step instructions for parking and entering the apartment.

The bathroom was nice but had mould growing on the grout. Maybe a little bleach would eliminate this. The bath towels need replacing with new towels as the current ones were very thin and old.

It was clean, centrally located and a breeze to get to, quiet when the doors were closed and fabulous people watching when open!, comfortable, and well equipped if we wanted to prepare food there. We ate out for the duration of our two day stay. Tiberio was very responsive and offered some great dining recommendations.

I have nothing but good things to say about our short but rich stay in the Riomaggiore.

It was very clean and had everything we needed. As a women I really appreciated the three doors and locks to the apartment.

There could have been more hangers for jackets and towles. Maybe more space in the bathroom to lay things down. The cherry on top would be a big mirror outside of the bathroom.

The location was right in the middle of the town of Riomaggorie near many restaurants and bars. Our host shared pictures as to how to get to the property. The host also helped us with dinner reservations and helped us get back to the car with our luggage.

It would have also helped to have written directions as well other than the picture directions.

We chose Riomaggiore out of the 5 towns of the Cinque Terre by accident. However, it turned out to be a good choice. As one of the larger if not the largest of the 5 towns it had lots of options for eating and shopping. The apartment was super easy to get to from the train station - but there was still about 50m of uphill slogging, which is unavoidable in the Cinque Terre region. That said, I cannot emphasise enough how easy the apartment was to access. We visited all 5 towns and saw so many other apartments that were genuinely tortuous to get to. Suffice to say that the signature "romantically stacked" architectural appeal of the region comes with a lot of climbing up and down uneven stone steps! Our apartment was in an original 13th century structure but was a fairly recent, tastefully done reno with all modern amenities. Wifi signal struggled with the thick walls but there was definitely wifi! Our host was very helpful and charming, providing suggestions for places to eat and visit.

Main bed was rather hard (for my taste) and pillows were so soft that I had to use two. Fold out sofa bed had the usual thin mattress with a predictable sink across the middle from having been folded for most of its life. My brother ended up sleeping crossways on the end of the fold out.

This apartment was spacious for my husband and me booked for hiking trip in Cinque Terre. Very clean, perfectly located, and quiet even though it was close to everything. Our host was very accommodating when I asked questions and needed help with luggage storage.
