17 South Street Top Flat

Location

Gas hob was very old and need replacing. No microwave available. Windows need fixing as they won't shut properly. Not ideal if travelling with younger kids unless they are able to maintain pin drop silence to avoid neighbours complaining of footsteps.

The flat location was excellent, the beds were very comfy. Towels and bedding were clean however the rest of the flat was very dusty. It hadn't had a good dust for some time and the kitchen area was filthy!! We found rusty pans in the cupboard. The frying pan needed to be scrubbed before use. The kitchen area in general needed a good clean top to bottom.

Modern and spacious enough near to the areas we enjoy. Good contact from the host.

1 toilet role purchased some more, took us a while to figure out the oven so purchased a takeaway instead. A microwave may be useful for longer stay.

Location was perfect, the place was very clean. Facilities were good and didn't hear a peep from any of the other flats. (Probably because the Seagulls were so loud.

The seagulls were mental and didn't stop screaming all night long. The stalker one that just stood looking in the window was slightly annoying too but obviously this is no fault of the owner. We couldn't get the oven to work properly, we Googled instructions but even then could only get the grill to work, we chose the apartment as we have kids with allergies so struggle to eat out and it was a bit of a nightmare trying to cook a meal. Ended up eating at 10pm as we didn't realise.

Location was great. Beds very comfy. Over all the apartment is really nice looking and spacious. The seagull who sits on the porch outside the window was hilarious.

The street it’s on is very run down looking and some of the adjoining roads didn’t feel very ‘safe’. Apartment was very dusty, needs a good deep clean. I ended up hoovering before I unpacked. No hairdryer or microwave.
