Shaftesbury Modern Annexe

We stayed here 3 years ago and have tried to book many more times but it's always booked up so we were very fortunate to be able to stay this week . It's a proper little home from home and an excellent base for visiting anywhere 😀

spacious, good amenities, warm, pretty garden, quiet, comfortable bed and bedding, lovely towels, dressing gowns, good quality crockery and cutlery, milk, apples biscuits on arrival.

the only downside for me was the small shower. It was difficult to turn around. It was very constraining.

The space and cleanliness of the house

No dryer was available that I noticed

All the basics are taken care of - the property is clean, well equipped and nicely decorated and furnished. What is exceptional is that the lovely owners seem to have thought of everything a guest might need or enjoy, and then set about providing it! From fruit, tea bags milk and biscuits waiting in the kitchen for our arrival, through to vacuum flask and mugs for picnics. There's enough space to prepare food and enjoy dining in the sitting/dining room. Thankyou D&R, we loved our stay!

Nothing was lacking

We absolutely loved the annexe. Friendly communication from Ruth and Dennis as soon as we booked, a great welcome, easy check-in, and the annexe itself exceeded our expectations. It was warm, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, with a great kitchen, ideal for self catering. We really appreciated the extra touches, such as milk, biscuits, tea, coffee, dishwasher and washing machine tablets etc etc. Very helpful information in the Welcome Guide too. For once there was no need to resort to Google to find out how appliances and central heating work, or what to do with rubbish and recycling etc. We've stayed in lots of different accommodation in the area as we visit frequently to see family, and this is definitely our new favourite, and we'll stay again whenever we can.

Nothing to dislike

The accommodation was very comfortable and very clean. We had a little welcome pack when we arrived which included tea coffee milk sugar & cookies. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners were more than happy to help us if we needed it.
