Craigavon Cottage

The apartment was very clean, the owner was responsive and available. A restful night as we wanted.

An improvement would be to add numbers for the power of the hob and markings to know which hobs are controlled by the buttons. Put a warning for using the shower. I wanted to turn off the water to soap myself. And when I turned the water back on, it was first scalding hot, then freezing, and finally returned to the right temperature. I think this is due to the water heating system.

The location and fantastic views totally exceeded our expectations. The cottage was cosy and warm and had everything we needed for our stay. Love that it was dog friendly as well. Kim was friendly and available to help if we needed anything.

Lovely stay right by the loch, adequate and safe parking. Felt very private as well. Hosts had everything that we required set up and there was nothing we needed to interact with them at all. This was great as it was really smooth. The kitchen was well equipped, the living room with views over the loch was very comfortable and homely. Would definitely recommend!

So homely and welcoming. Bed super comfy! This was a last minute booking (we were supposed to be camping but after a rubbish nights sleep the night before we really needed comfort!) we needed a shower and didn’t expect to be able to wash my hair but their was shampoo and a hairdryer and towels provided which was amazing! Owner went out way to message and check we were all ok and didn’t need anything. Super friendly and made our last minute rushed booking seamless x

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the cottage. It was immaculate, the bed was so comfy it’s the best sleep I’ve had in a long time!! The views out of the living room window and to the rear of the cottage are stunning (see photos attached of the surroundings) and the instructions for finding the cottage were comprehensive and made it very easy to find it! Kim is an absolutely superb host, despite letting us know everything we needed to know ahead of arrival she still made time to pop outside to us when we arrived to say hi to us and our dog. When we entered the property we were touched by Kim’s little gift of a box of Tunnocks teacakes (hubbys favourites by coincidence!) there was a fresh pint of milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar as well as some basics in the cupboards for us to use and dog biscuits as well- I’ve never stayed anywhere that does this for you! She really does think of everything! We will most definitely be booking a longer stay next time around- we really had the best,most chilled out weekend and the only thing that could have made it better would have been some sun but you can’t win them all! Kim- we honestly can’t thank you enough for this much needed break from life for a couple of days! We will be back!

Not too be too negative but I did find the noise levels that came from above very annoying.. Sunday morning we were woke just after 8am by someone banging about. Floor boards also very squeaky..

Cozy and relaxing with the best views ever. Wonderful sized property with everything we needed. Fab hosts who really made our stay a special one.
