Craigavon Cottage

Lovely host, very clean place and really nice and comfortable! My friend and I absolutely loved it, there is everything you could need in a nice cosy atmosphere - and beautiful mountain view from the living room window. Location was great as well, I would absolutely return.

The property was lovely and felt very much like home from home, nice warm and welcoming feeling to the cottage. Owners were lovely and really friendly, as we went out of season there wasn’t really anywhere open for food nearby but the owner had a look for us and sent us an option which was really kind, we ended up just popping to the local coop and getting some picky bits. Was really good for the dog to be able to roam about rather than being confined to a hotel room and the views were incredible!

As the property is connected to the main house we did hear the movement upstairs when we were in bed trying to sleep but that was only on the first night, I slept through it but my partner and the dog were kept up for a little bit.

Location is perfect for visiting the area. Cottage is warm and has all the basics. I have used it before and will be doing again. Local facilities are close and it is a friendly area to stay in. The new stling in front of the cottage to provide a seating area looked lovely. I could not use it as it was winter but it will be nice in the summer. Host Kim is lovely and communication excellent.

Perhaps a bit more cooking equipment needed as it only has the basics compared to many cottages I use, and it is a little outdated now compared to many places that have had recent refurbs, Location however makes up for a few minor niggles, 2 blinds need sorting and this only bothers me as I am not overlooked at home so like my total privacy. Bed was comfortable but needs a mattress protector, pillows have them.

The location is great with a beautiful view of the Loch. The restaurant in the village The Laroch is great, but you need to book it. The place has all amenities to cook. The host was available and quick to reply to my enquiries.

Location, parking, & amenities. Instructions were clear from the host. I appreciated that the cottage was decorated for Christmas, it made us feel more at home.

Kitchen items need to be cleaned properly between a guest and another as most of the items were a bit dirty.

I liked that there was a washing machine and a fully-stocked kitchen. Also, the place was warm.
