Nida's Place

Staying at Nida’s Place was the best decision for our time in General Luna. The accommodation is just around the corner of Cloud 9, so you can basically even walk there within a few minutes and go surfing or chill by the beach every day. The private room is really spacious and equipped with a comfy bed and nicely working fan and aircon as well as a small terrace. Everything was clean. The price is really fair, you will probably not find a better deal in the area. The kitchen is perfect to prepare breakfast or some meals and free drinking water supply is available. The garden and outdoor area in front of the rooms are really beautiful and taken care of really well. Nida (the host) will help you with anything, she is a lovely person and really communicative. We enjoyed staying at her beautiful home and can recommend her place to anyone. All the best, Paul.

Beautiful setting, lovely garden. Lots of nature frogs jumping round at night, 2 bunnies in a cage. Property was OK for us but it is basic and not luxury. We loved that there was a big kitchen fridge and little gas cooker so we could buy groceries and cook a few meals to save eating out. 10 minute walk from cloud 9 but plenty of restaurants on the way. Nida was available if we needed.

Some parts need some TLC. Kitchen pans need a good clean before use as lots of mould in cupboards.

Feels like home - very welcoming hosts. Good quite location but also close to General Luna and Sunset bridge and Cloud 9 surfing are. You can easily rent a motorbike here and find some local restaurants. I was supposed to stay 11 nights but extended 2 times because I loved it. Thanks a lot guys for making my stay here an amazing memory to remember!! 🙏❤️

We had a great time at Nida’s. The owners are super friendly, the location is close to Cloud 9, the rooms are spacious and the shared kitchen was a great addition.

Jeff and Nida are amazing host. They are so friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The Room was quite big and the location is very good to. There is a covered Parking space for the motorbike and a big garden, where you can hang your wet clothes for drying. We also loved george the dog …

The aircon was a bit noisy and the bathroom is small and has no space to leave the toilet bag (but luckily there is enough spce in the room to place it there)

Clean and comfortable rooms which were a good size. The location is good if you want to go surfing at jacking horse or cloud 9. It is a walk or a short drive to the restaurants and bars. Jeff and Nida were really friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen could do with some TLC but it was functional.

kitchen should have kept clean and organized. although this is a commonly used room and organization defends on how the quests use and keep it, intervention by a full or regular staff could have made it cleaner nd hygienic - floors ought to be regularly mopped and counter dusted & wiped.

Comfortable bed and powerful hot shower. Shower is separated from the toilet. Generally clean room which was cleaned upon request. There is a communal kitchen with a stove, fridge and a few utensils. Some eateries/small shops nearby but quite far from General Luna center area (40mins by foot) if you don’t have a (motor)bike. Nice lush garden.

Make sure to contact the host shortly before your arrival since she forgot about my booking so I had to wait >1 hour before I could check in and another hour for the room to be prepared. Owner should work on her attitude and service towards guests. Room is definitely much more basic than what is shown in the pictures. Furniture is dated. AC works well but has to be turned on/off awkwardly by standing on the bed and reaching for the AC itself (high), no remote available. Loose power outlets causing plugs to disconnect frequently. Bathroom is built without ventilation so had an awful and unhealthy smell. Good to stress again there is no wifi available. Many crooks allowing mosquitoes and other bugs to enter the room while there is no bed net. Toilet seat is loose and does not fit properly so it forms a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
