The free taxi organised by booking.com would not take us as we had a buggy and car seat as well as the three bags mentioned when booking

Apartment was well equipped for a rental.

Only provided with one set of keys and one pass to access Benal Beach complex. Would have been better with two for myself and my wife.

The Building was beautiful, and near to the beach and to the park.

An excellent location - a lot to do with a child. Close to the beach. A large and specious two rooms. The room has a oven, which makes it easy to cook, as well as washing machine!

Due to the fact that the apartment is located on the ground floor, you should be aware about mosquitos. A special spray helps to prevent from them.

The apartment is within the large Benal Beach complex. The apartment itself was modern and clean and had everything we needed for travelling with a young family (they had a campbed, toddler bed guard, high chair if needed). The kitchen facilities were great, all you need for some light self catering. (I think they may have a few different apartments, as you may see from the photos). Netflix was a bonus too. The contacts for the apartment were friendly and helpful and prompt to respond and deal with queries/ assistance. Though we didn’t actually meet anyone, as I think they were different to the Benal beach staff? The complex itself was fine, good amenities (supermarket, gym (not 100% if free to use?) pools), good location for us, quick walk to the beach (and some good restaurants) near Parque de La Paloma (with some playgrounds!) and not too far to walk to the ‘new town’. The complex was perhaps a little tired in places but you could see ongoing maintenance for improvements and we were end of season. The gardens were well kept and the reception area nice. I’d definitely recommend and were happy with our visit!

The main disappointment for us was that only one small, but not particularly child friendly pool was open (no slides etc). Despite the Benal Beach website saying (when we booked) pools would be fully open until 31st Oct even though the weather was still warm. I don’t blame the apartment owners for this but if you’re not high season might be worth checking.
