Villa Bonita

It was in a great location and the hosts were lovely people which is why I hate to complain but I feel like I have to warn others.

We don’t have high expectations at all, but clean and comfy should be a minimum. this was very bad even for us. We had the 3 bed apartment and the smell from the bathroom was really terrible, the floor tile is broken in the room so you couldn’t walk barefoot as I stubbed my toe constantly and its really sharp! we had one clean in 11 days. The cleaner needs to come every 2/3 days minimum, especially as you can’t flush tissue it was really gross. and a brush for the room would really help. The mattresses both needed replacing badly, especially the smaller bed which is literally broken with springs digging into you! The whole building is run down but the balcony is crumbling away and there is a man directly below who constantly hacks up and spits phlegm in the street which can be heard all day and night and is really quite disgusting. I hate to leave bad reviews but I just can’t believe the rating for this place.

Location is perfect! Quiet street and close to everything on the north end

The building is pretty run down. But dont let that distract you. For the price, its great! We are pretty low maintenance travelers. We want clean, convenient and comfy! It was all of that. Wifi was probably the best we had at any of the 3 locations we stayed this trip. The "Cozumel smell" from the drains was pretty strong at times. We kept them covered when possible. But other than that....we really enjoyed the place and the PRICE. We will stay here again!

Location is perfect! Walking distance to everything and down a very quiet street! The beds were SOOO comfy...and that is a HUGE plus! The wifi was probably the fastest of all 3 places we stayed that trip! The room has been updated and it was super cute and comfy! The room was a trundle bed which is really nice. Very basic but everything you need to for a great stay!

Its a pretty run down building. But when we travel we have VERY low expectations.

The size of the room was good. The location was ideal for everything needed. Hot water shower, microwave and fridge. Very,very quiet so great for sleeping.

The floor tiles need attention but other than that we were happy.

The location was nice and walking distance from everything.

The room didn't seem very clean, bed wasn't very comfy, low water pressure, ants in room. No maid service for new clean towels, no wash rags, in other room had smells coming thru bathroom. Floor was coming up in middle of room. Overall was ready to leave after the first night. Granted it is a budget room but could have been so much better.

Excellent value, great location in North Beach, close to beach & restaurants, but away from the party noise of the walking streets. Secure building that is locked at night. Host is very responsive.

I highly recommend Villa Bonita. The location is great and the people are so friendly.
