Villa Bonita

Super clean basic accommodations perfect for one person or a couple. 2 min walk to the melacon or downtown, 10 min walk from the ferry or play norte. Pretty quiet day or night. Stairs to access the unit are a bit narrow but nothing so treacherous as other reviews stated. Place was a little hard to find the first time, and didn't pay until 2nd last day which is unusual but perfect stay anyway, good communication and friendly hosts:)

The door rattles when its windy. Not a deal breaker but pretty annoying. A folded piece of cardboard under the door helped.

Very clean and very nice family who loves downstairs and runs the apartments. Very affordable

A lot. First of all, once we arrived, the host wasn’t even there. We got the keys from a neighbour or who ever that was, who called the actual owner and via phone host told which appartment is ours. Basically no english language. Host arrived to collect the money in the middle of the stay, reaching out just via booking.com platform saying he needs money today (just wow). We had to come from our dinner. That alone makes it a very unpleasant stay. The apartment itself, from a first glance it looked clean, but you quickly notice lots of dust and dirt on foot. The place itself is completely terrible. You come in via unmarke doors to your wonderful “vila”, going through a narrow piss stinking hallway stairs. Just disgusting. Doors and windows have so many gaps that you can hear completely everything from the street, so good luck having a good sleep. Door quality so poor that anyone could kick it out, make from poor plastics, very strange. Shower is pretty much non existant - the stream is so bad that shower may take half an hour. Smell in the bathroom is always terrible. A lot of mold and lime. Curtains are not covering anything, so anyone going through can see it all. Only 3 towels for 2 of us, which were in terrible condition, very rough, pretty much unusable. In general, the whole apartment looks very bad. Seems like last time renovated 50 years or so ago. All walls are very crooked and dirty. Painted very poorly and uevenly, looks like made by some kid from a street for 10$. In photos looks much better There was basic appliances such us dish washer, paper towels or trash bags and etc. No directions of Wifi, have to figure it out yourself checking on router.

The room was very clean and had everything needed for cooking. The host was very nice. The location was amazing, close to the beach and the restaurants, but also further away from the noisy streets.

The room walls could be repainted/refreshed. The room was nice but a bit simple. Maybe adding some decorative elements would make it a bit cozier.

Convenient location.

Very basic accommodation which was not maintained in good condition. Mattress was poor, No Microwave as per advert. Only one functional gas ring with pathetic flame, no plastic toilet seat! Furniture and curtains were really poor quality. Not a pleasant place to stay.

- we stayed here 3 nights, but they never emptied the bins or came to clean. - the bed was too small to fit 2 people so we had to use the extra bed on the ground. it was a good bed, but 1 large bed would be better.
