Ramblers Rest Modern Cottage-Perfect Views of Ben Nevis

Overall ok but need to improve the facilities.

Bathroom needs to upgrade. Lack of water pressure on shower! Water on heat and cold is very hard to adjust. Is either too hot or too cold. The bed in the master bed room was not a queen size bed. It is a bit small for two person.

Beautiful cottage in a great location close to Fort William, with parking and every amenity you could need. We felt so comfortable and at home in Ramblers Rest and were grateful for the gift from the host. Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook if I was in the area.

Genuinely nothing negative, a great stay!

We loved the spaciousness of the cottage, nice attention to details, coziness and comfort. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there was a lovely terrace with Ben Nevis views. We appreciate the hospitality and very good communication with Leeann and a lovely welcome gift - a basket of snacks and quick oats. The location was in a quiet suburban area of Fort William which we liked a lot.

Everything. Very comfortable, quiet and our host was wonderful. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone staying overnight in this region.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this modern and welcoming property. The hosts were charming and incredibly gracious—especially when we accidentally broke something, they reassured us to simply relax and enjoy our holiday. The home itself is spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room. We especially loved the deck with its beautiful views of Ben Nevis, perfect for a morning coffee or evening unwind. The location is convenient, with parking on-site and the hosts living next door, which made everything easy. It’s close to a bus stop for trips into Fort William and within walking distance of a small Coop and a cash machine. The thoughtful touches like quality toiletries and a welcome pack of cookies made us feel right at home.

A few things could use attention: the cooker’s vent and light weren’t working, the kitchen tap dripped constantly, and there was no hot water in the kitchen. These didn’t ruin our stay, but fixing them would definitely elevate the experience. Overall, a lovely place with great hosts and a fantastic location—just a few tweaks away from perfection.
