Ramblers Rest Modern Cottage-Perfect Views of Ben Nevis

The property was well presented and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very nice, with a large shower cubicle and electric shower. There was a large wardrobe in the bedroom which was useful. The host provided a single bed for our 11 year old in the same bedroom. There was a nice decked area outside with table, chairs and parasol - superb view of Ben Nevis. We had an issue with the hot water on the first night and the host was very responsive, calling out a plumber to resolve the issue early the next day. This didn’t impact our stay as the shower operates separately so we still had hot water. The iron and ironing board were great. There’s a Co-op 5-10 mins walk away. We also highly recommend the Ben Nevis Inn for food, drinks and atmosphere, which is a short drive from the property.

The gulls are REALLY noisy! Not the fault of the owner, but it did make sleeping difficult. The double bed had a very hard mattress. It was a bit too hard for me, but was actually good for my bad back!

It was a great cottage with everything we needed. Very comfy and spotlessly clean. There was even a basket of treats! Lovely views of Ben Nevis.

It is great to have the space of your own house when on the road for a long time, so easy to relax and unwind. With all the facilities of a full size and equipped kitchen, it made self contained living easy. Easy walk to the local shops, along the river, the bridge where the Jacobite Train comes past and to explore castle ruins, while still being a quiet peaceful part of town.

Was clean and very well decorated. A bit far from town, but we knew when we booked. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable for our 3rd guest, but the rest was great.
