Oceana Sea View Apartments - Kamala Beach

The location

The access to parking was difficult and there was no parking spots at times , the elevators often didn’t work, quite a distance from the beach

The beautiful apartments. Quiet and wery comfortable. The best view. And good location.

First day the toilet was broken. We couldn't find the TV remote and the safe was closed before we came, and staff didn't open it for us.

The location and view of the beach - from the correct apartment and the pool - is absolutely fantastic. The apartment is modern, and has the potential to be a great place to stay in Kamala.

From the beginning of our stay there were multiple issues with the apartment, with the sea view being quite poor and the elevator trapping us inside it for several moments. Issues then persisted when a large colony of ants made their way into the apartment, alongside the fridge periodically beeping preventing a relaxing night's sleep. We were then moved to another apartment where the overhead shower did not work due to limescale buildup, there was no obvious sign of recent cleaning, the air conditioning made a recurring noise of dripping and the shower consistently flooded the room with the toilet flush being poor. To top this off, the pool turned bright green on our third day due to algal bloom rendering it unusable. There was also a genuine 5 minute walk from reception to the apartment. As a whole, the property has potential but it is clear individual offerings are being sub let, with no overall vision for the resort and no coordination of staff. The management company in charge of this listing had incredibly poor communication, surrounding check in, check out and the overall maintenance of the property. There are many other fantastic places to stay in or around Kamala Beach.
